Great location and service.
We used the hotel as a base for visiting Dijon once more. Great central location within walking distance to many attractions. Also went to the Prenois race track for a day of high speed adventure, while my wife enjoyed the spa at the hotel. Too bad the famed restaurant was closed during our stay Sun-Tue. But maybe that is a reason to return ...

An amazing stay in the heart of Dijon
I had a wonderful experience at the Hostellerie Du Chapeau Rouge. Upon arrival, the staff were warm and inviting AND helped me practice français. They even gave me a complimentary room upgrade because I was staying 5 nights.
The room and bed were very comfortable. Minimal noise from other rooms, none from outside. Shower and water pressure were great. Blackout curtains did the job. WiFi password does get changed every few days, but I appreciate that security. Housekeeping did a great job during my stay. I called the view from my window "Ratatouille Rooftop." I loved it.
I don't think the location could be any better. Easy 10-minute walk from train station and situated on one side of the old town. I walked everywhere: old town historic spots, the botanical garden, natural history museum, and the new Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin. And SO MANY great restaurants.

A beautiful hotel
Very well located in the center of old Dijon, the Chapeau Rouge is a classy establishment. Housed in an old house, its interior layout is sometimes a bit quirky, but you can find your way around easily thanks to clear signage that leads to the rooms. Ours was an initial room that was a bit small but clean, quiet, and comfortable, with, above all, quality bedding and a very well-equipped bathroom. The welcome and service are flawless, and the breakfast, which is mostly homemade and served at the table, is delicious. The hotel's central location and the narrowness of Rue Pasteur can make parking problematic if you do not use the valet service, which is paid, but oh well..... All in all, the Chapeau Rouge is a great Dijon address.

Charming Comfortable and Convenient
We had a wonderful stay at Chapeau Rouge. The accommodations were excellent - I particularly enjoyed the jetted tub in our room! The staff was extremely gracious and helpful and spoke perfect English. The location is perfect - with an easy walk to dining shopping and sightseeing. My only complaint is the we couldn't stay longer!

Perfect location good breakfast and parking and to top it up English speaking young man from Bedfordshire .Totally recommend

We park the vehicles in a secure public car park 300 meters away from the hotel, it is under videosurveillance and we have been working with it for over twenty years. Your vehicle must not exceed 1m90 in height (6ft2) in order to fit into our parking garage
