Top accommodation!

Anyone who stands in front of the inconspicuous house when they arrive cannot imagine what a jewel is hidden behind the door.
A very beautiful and stylishly furnished house with 3 very nice guest rooms.
Behind the house there is a small garden and the pool.
The owners are extremely friendly and serve a very good breakfast!
There are a few small towns with restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
It is also not far to the beach and to La Rochelle.
Absolutely recommended!!

3 exceptional days

Lovely residence, and Michèle’s welcome only enhances it. A very pleasant heated swimming pool in a charming garden.
We had the attic “return from Asia” room and although it was very hot, we lived very well in this room thanks to the fan.
The bathroom is very comfortable, as is the bedding.
If you travel in summer, maybe better choose the other 2 rooms. The herbal tea maker allows you to enjoy tea or coffee at any time. There may be a shortage of a refrigerator in this location to store fresh water or other items.
Breakfast is pleasant, although a salty touch would be welcome: egg, cheese, ham... for those who want to limit sugar.
Before coming to stay in this house, ask Michèle for good local restaurant addresses: she has some real gems to share.

Thaire d’Aunis revisited

La Maison du Baloir is an elegant, tasteful and extremely comfortable Chambre d’hôte with a stunning garden and welcoming pool. Michele, the wonderful host is friendly and informative. Her breakfasts are superb, varied daily, beautifully presented using local produce. It is a wonderful start to the day to eat outdoors beside the lavender.
The whole place is so tastefully decorated and Michele has given thought and consideration to finer details which add to the experience.
We had visited this lovely village some years ago so were delighted that our return was to such a lovely house / base to further explore the area.
Great local restaurant recommendations within easy driving distance too although three nights was not long enough to visit them all.
Loved Maison du Baloir. Thank you Michele.

Short stay for a family wedding

First impressions of this property was charming, Michelle our host was extremely friendly and welcoming. She showed us to our very charming and extremely clean, comfortable room explaining the do's and don'ts on the way and giving us keys for the front door and our room. The pool and garden was lovely, the perfect place to have breakfast in the morning. Her home is located in the center of Thaire which is a typical french village with narrow streets and a quiet laid back atmosphere. There is a delicious bakery opposite the property where you can get fresh pastries which are to die for.

Fantastic in every way

We stayed here for one one night during our cycling tour of France. The rooms are elegant, spacious and very comfortable. The owner is charming and helpful. The pool is just perfect for chilling out after a hard day's cyling. The breakfast was superb, beautifully presented with elegant tableware. The only problem is that it's in a small village with only one restaurant that is not open often. No bars etc. for about 5 miles
