Passing through Trets

Small charming hotel in the city center of Trets, with all the comfort you can expect today. Very friendly welcome, a good breakfast with possibility to take it on the terrace. Pleasant step for a visit to this beautiful region.

Bweare. Look at photos

Shortly after checking in we realised that our room had an extremely dirty floor, and that the bath and toilet were old and stained. The receptionist leaves at 8pm, so we could not discuss an alternative room. We left. The hotel has taken 50% of a four night stay against their own policy. We continue to try to get a refund. We have spent weeks trying to get assistance from Citotel, but they tell us that they cannot help.

Rooms are tiny, but expensive

The pictures of the room are very deceptive. There were pictures of rooms with a bed and couch and with a single bed. Based on that we assumed that our room with two beds would have two areas. This made sense because the room was fairly expensive (102 euros per night).What we found out when we arrived was that in the room we booked - listed as a Superior Room (which is supposed to accommodate 4 adults) the second bed is a pull out couch which is less than a foot away from the standard bed. The room is very small especially when there are two beds in there. Because the room was so tiny and the pull out couch bed was so uncomfortable, we had to leave after only staying for 1 night instead of the 3 we had booked. But we still had to pay for all 3 nights. These rooms are very small and in my opinion are not worth 102 euros a night.

Nice hotel, but old room

Hotel is located in main street of a small town. Breakfast was fine. However, our room did not look like the pictures on the website, it was old en very small. The airconditioning was working fine. The hotel staff was very friendly.

Lovely old hotel in the center of a very Southern French town

Near cafes and restaurants and shaded by ancient plane trees, the Hotel de la Vallée d’Arc fit the bill for our two night stay over the weekend of the Rallye Decouverte de la Mont Sainte Victoire just east of Aix en Provence. This gorgeous area is replete with vineyards and undulating hills in the shade of the mountain so beloved by Cezanne.
We choose the least expensive category room, which was small but adequate, with a bath having a tub, shower faucet, WC and bidet. A closet with hanging space and shelves are built in. There is a desk/chair, Wall mounted TV and excellent WiFi connection.
The management was helpful when needed. The dining room and salon are beautiful with the charming features that define Provence: wrought iron railing, pretty wine colored tiled floors, long windows and shutters that close.
Note that once past the entry door you can drive another block to the big village parking lot.
