Family-run hotel with a very delicious restaurant.

Beautifully located Franconian family-run hotel. The location is excellent for excursions.
The rooms are a bit dated but clean and everything is in order. The rooms are spread over three floors without an elevator. However, you are informed about this.
We had a voucher for three nights with half board through the great portal Animod. The breakfast buffet is super sufficient and is constantly replenished. The dinner as part of the half board (2-course menu) was always very delicious and super tasty. We always ordered an additional side salad. The dressing alone would have made the order necessary.
The staff is very friendly and attentive. One waiter, however, was a bit strange. You have to like his humor. We simply do not have it. Otherwise, he has always delivered a good job.
All in all - a hotel that you can really book, and the food there is simply very, very delicious.

Pleasant stay

We stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Gondel with half board. Due to an oversight on our part, we arrived a day early, but this issue was resolved, thank you. The room on the 3rd floor (43) is a bit dated, but it was clean. The breakfast was good, unfortunately, it was not replenished. The dinner deserves praise; it was very good three times, as were the friendly staff.

Great hotel, great food and overly courteous staff

We were very positively surprised by the cosiness, the tranquility and especially by the very family atmosphere.
The service was very friendly, overly attentive and unusually accommodating. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.
We had a wonderful short break. Thank you so much for that.

Back in a beautiful whole world with super delicious food and great hosts

Pure Franconian way of life, traditional, very valuable and beautiful ambience,
extremely dedicated staff and a host couple par excellence
So you wish to be treated as a guest with appreciation and enjoyable food.. you feel transported back to a beautiful , whole world, for me home
And the absolutely perfect..next door horses.. our heart animals..you feel even more at home

Perfect starting point for city tours !

We stayed at the Hotel Gondel for the first time and chose it because it is perfectly located for trips to Bamberg, Coburg and Bayreuth! The hotel and the rooms are a bit old, which was absolutely no problem for us. Everything was very clean, there will be everyone ! Day cleaned, which is no longer the rule in many hotels. However, the very good staff and the very, very good food should be singled out. We will definitely come back because there is still a lot to discover .
