Beautiful place! Especially for several nights!
"What a great place! We stayed here now in transit, but this hotel actually does too short. Hotel Dannerwirt is located in a very nice area and the terrace is full of beautiful, colorful flowers, which immediately gives a cozy atmosphere. From our balcony we had a beautiful view of the mountains. The Schweinsteiger family and their team gave us a very warm welcome and the rooms were spotless. The food here is really super tasty; we dined deliciously in the cozy 'Stube'. An absolute must where we definitely want to stay longer next time!"

Good cuisine.
We were at the Dannerwirt in Flintsbach for lunch. In the beautiful beer garden, we enjoyed a perfect beef tartare alla Otto as an appetizer, likely due to the ingredients, with a small side salad. For the main course, there was an alpine grill platter with various well-grilled fillets, a real baked potato with sour cream, and fresh summer vegetables. Also, a very juicy baked cod in a panko-pumpkin crust with potato-cucumber salad and pumpkin seed mayo. The service was friendly and good.

Sad but true!
We cannot judge the food, it was a day off on a Thursday, however, we would like to point out the price-performance ratio, which is completely excessive! The rooms are simple, no refrigerator, no coffee machine, no light at the bathroom mirror,,,BUT THE BEST part is that you have to pay a service fee of 20 euros if you want to drink your own bottle of wine on a park bench!!! Of course outside the beer garden, we only let the wine cool because there is no refrigerator in the room! The saddest part, however, is how the owner of the establishment handles criticism! She completely lost her composure, something so UNPROFESSIONAL in dealing with guests!!! Therefore, it is better to walk or drive 200 meters further to the Gasthof Falkenstein, where everything is just right.

Sehr geehrter Gast, wir denken es ist nicht üblich seinen eigenen Wein mitzubringen und im Wirtshaus/Biergarten zu konsumieren. Wir haben Ihnen freundlich angeboten, gegen eine Gebühr (sogenanntes Korkgeld), welches die Einkühlung der Flasche, die Weingläser, einen Weinkühler und die Betreuung durch unser Personal während des Verzehrs beinhaltet, angeboten. Dies haben Sie abgelehnt! Bei der von Ihnen beschriebenen Bank handelt es sich um unsere Hausbank (Tisch Nr. 44), die sich direkt vor dem Eingang und natürlich auch auf unserem Hotelgrundstück befindet. Außerdem möchten wir Sie bitten bei der Wahrheit zu bleiben. Die Fassung hat nicht die Chefin, sondern Ihre Frau verloren, als Sie Wut entbrannt die Treppe nach oben ging. Wir denken es wäre besser, wenn Sie das nächste Mal eine Ferienwohnung buchen oder auf dem Campingplatz übernachten. Hier können Sie alle Getränke (und auch Speisen) von zu Hause mitbringen. On the one hand good, but on the other hand not quite so good!
We were here for an overnight stay (3 nights) and had been looking forward to the Wendelstein via the cog railway. Much, unfortunately, into the so-called water.
To the hotel. We think that appearing on the Internet promises more and is not quite true. And we hadn't felt almost at home either, but that was more due to the rather researchy junior boss, who is certainly different to how she gave herself. Maybe she also wanted to do everything particularly well and has gone a bit wrong here and there. No problem, it's happened to everyone.
The kitchen was extremely good, only recommended and especially stand out.
Our room was relatively newly renovated, but the bathroom was not a big newly renovated one. No, it was a small newly renovated bathroom with extremely few storage facilities and a shower (ground level) that I could only use after five minutes.
Why? This simply did not want to work, the setting knob was permanently in your hand and nothing worked. After several attempts to reinstall the adjustment knob, it worked, well, pretty much.
An attentive room service staff should have passed this on long ago to undertake such a repair.
Although the shower was modern and earthy but unfortunately everything was always a little above water, as cramped conditions, or the gradient of the shower was not so good.
To be honest, they really tried to bring everything modern and up to date here, that's all I think goes if you take the given prerequisites as a basis.
The hotel is quite recommended for intermediate nights with very good cuisine, but unfortunately not for a longer relaxing stay from our point of view.
Thank you anyway, even if one or the other in the restaurant had not always caught a good day. It's not tragic, it can happen to anyone once.

Wir entschuldigen uns, dass während Ihres Aufenthaltes das Wetter eine Fahrt mit der Zahnradbahn nicht ermöglicht hat. Darüber hinaus finden wir es sehr schade, dass Sie meine Frau, welche seit über 25 Jahren den Dannerwirt erfolgreich leitet, lediglich als "bemühte forsche Juniorchefin" wahrgenommen haben.
