Very friendly reception, excellent trout

Nice junior sweet: Very spacy, clean and quiet. Very friendly staff. Traditional Black-Forrest restaurant servers fresh trout, directly from the pond. Sad, that the hotel and restaurant are closed on Mondays. Get the junior sweet - well worth the price. Appr. 7 km off the motorway.

Out of the way reasonable hotel

This hotel is about 2.0km out away from Hord am Neckar in a area called Isenburg. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Neckar River . The very small village surrounding it is very quiet and peaceful . Close enough to the town of Hord but far enough removed to be in another "world". Not for the individual who craves action because there just isn't any . Very nice traditional German/Swabian cuisine for dinner . The rooms are larger than usual with excellent housekeeping . Very nice clean , bright bathroom with toiletries and a hair dryer . No English TV but who cares . Reasonable price includes breakfast . Secure bike garage . A bit out of the way but seems worth the minimal inconvenience.

Unfriendly

Would have been cozy if it weren't for the staff. Unhelpful and mean.they will make you pay for a penalty without warning. With a smile on ther face. I asked for 5 things and none were realized. Very disappointed.... :(

needs renovating

Found everything very old looking, and as usual in Germany, the bed cover is for a 1m50 sized person... Only German TV. No internet access (Should be repaired soon though...). Breakfast not very interesting. Nice people though mostly.

Hotel und Restaurant absolut empfehlenswert!

Eigentlich wohnen wir immer gern in der Mitte der gerade besuchten Orte. Im Falle von Horb erwies sich die an sich ganz hübsche Oberstadt als so tot und verlassen,
das uns dies nicht reizvoll erschien. So kamen wir zum Forellengasthof Waldeck und waren sofort angetan. Schöne ruhige Lage, sehr freundliche Begrüßung, das angebotene Zimmer ausgesprochen geräumig und gut möbliert. Alles picobello.
Sofort klar war auch, dass wir dort zu Abend essen wollten. Und auch das haben wir nicht bereut: Die geräucherten Forellenfilets als Vorspeise köstlich und die fangfrischen Forellen danach hervorragend und auf den Punkt genau gebraten. Und preiswert war es auch. Am Frühstück gab es dann am Morgen auch nichts auszusetzen. Also war alles top, und im nächsten Jahr kommen wir wieder!
