Good value, relaxed atmosphere

We stayed here while visiting Documenta 2012 as a part of a car trip through Germany and Austria. The hotel is quite far out of town, so if you don't want to drive out or take the streetcar (Wilhelmshöhe stop at 800m from the hotel) the hotel's own restaurant is your only option for dining. Actually it's two restaurants (dining rooms) - one with Greek and one with local cuisine, but both menus are available in both dining rooms. The restaurant is frequently visited by locals, which seems a good sign. On our two nights here we ordered local dishes, which were good (taste & value). Unfortunately we couldn't use the terrace outside because it was cold and rainy. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was also good, featuring a medium-sized buffet. The room was spacious and practical but not very stylish. Fee wifi worked in most of our room. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Isolation of floor noise from rooms above is the one thing that could be improved. Our room was on the first floor, but if you like to sleep in I'd recommend a room on the highest (second?) floor.

Wieder vor die Wand gefahren

Langjährige Mitarbeiter vergrault, Koch weg; der Inhaber hat es mal WIEDER geschafft, das Restaurant vor die Wand zu fahren. Resultat: mangels Personal geschlossen. Zuletzt war der Service schon unmotiviert, die Qualität des Essens sackte ab und der ältere Koch nervte die Gäste mit endlosen Gesprächen über seine Krankheiten.

Sehr leckeres Essen

Wir waren hier essen, da unser Hotel in welchem wir waren die Küche geschlossen hatte. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich. Auch unsere Kinder wurden freundlich behandelt.
Wir kommen bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder. Dann gerne auch mit Übernachtung.

Weihnachtsbrunch

Essen Auswahl und Ambiente alles zur Zufriedenheit. Auch die Bedienung bemühte sich sehr , schmutzige Teller wurden sofort abgeräumt. Wir würden wiederkommen und weiter empfehlen Was ich allerdings nicht verstehe das für ein Einjähriges Kind der volle Buffet Preis kassiert wird??!!! Habe das erst zu Hause bemerkt , das nächste mal würde ich nachfragen. Habe mich darüber geärgert weil ein Kleinkind ja doch nicht alles Essen kann

Nettes Hotel - Top in Preis und Leistung

Ich habe zum ersten Mal dort übernachtet und bin gleich aus mehreren Gründen sehr angetan: Prima Lage, da rasch zurück zur Autobahn und gleichzeitig nur 3km bis Wilhelmshöher Allee mit Thermen etc. Sehr netter Empfang und generell sehr freundliches Personal. Das Zimmer geräumig mit großem TV und schönem Bad. Zimmer und Bad wirken modernisiert. Alles außerdem sehr sauber. Frühstück mit 5 Sorten Brötchen, ausreichend Käse und Wurst, diversen Marmeladen, Rührei, Schinken und sehr leckeren Frikadellen! Kaffeespezialitäten aus dem Vollautomaten. Das Ganze für 60 EUR die Nacht. Das ist wirklich Top. Wenn man etwas zu meckern sucht, dann vielleicht eine gewisse Hellhörigkeit. Hat mich aber nicht so sehr gestört, daher "volle Punktzahl " von mir. Komme gerne wieder
