Highly recommended hotel

Our daughter lives in Bergen-Enkheim, so the hotel's location was top-notch. We found a good, hotel-owned parking space right upon arrival and therefore had a short walk to the reception. The friendly lady at the front desk handed us the room card, answered our questions competently, and provided a positive first impression. Upon arriving in the room, we noticed the following:
Everything was tip-top clean, comfortable beds, a sufficiently large room, and the bathroom was modern and equipped with everything necessary. There was a fan in the room, a small coffee machine allowed for a caffeine kick in between, and the electric shutters were easy to operate; the view from the window of the Frankfurt skyline was impressive.
Our conclusion: very good price-performance ratio, good hotel, nice staff, tip-top rooms - would stay again!

Quiet, well run hotel

We had the pleasure of a weekend stay at this quaint little hotel.
Our expectations met the pricing - the rooms were fairly simple, with little in the way of amenities or extras, but they were very clean and quiet and a decent size. The beds were a bit soft, but comfortable.
Wifi was stated to be available, but the reception in the rooms was next to non-existent so this was not really usable.
The food/beer at the beer garden/restaurant was very good and we enjoyed a few sunny mornings/afternoons outside sampling the German cuisine/beer.
The location is not that close to anything touristy, however is in a nice quiet town with fairly quick access to Giessen.
Overall, the hotel does not try to accomplish anything other than what is stated - it is a quaint, quiet and clean 3 star hotel and is appropriately priced.
We would stay there again

Good family run country hotel

Good, large and clean rooms. Traditional regional or international food. Breakfast is buffet style
Friendly service and all at a reasonable price and ..... a typical German pub bar.

Quiet and clean

Located in Hessen, 7 km from downtown of Giessen, the hotel has a perfect location for rest, away from the city, highway and any noises of a city, on the outskirts of village Wettenberg. The hotel consists of two buildings with two floors villa type. The rooms are spacious and always clean, quiet and well soundproofed. Wi-fi is free and works almost everywhere rooms, hallways. restaurant and beer garden. Swedish buffet breakfast offers a varied menu with cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruit and jams, dairy products, tea, coffee and fruit juices and of course eggs served in various forms of preparation. During the afternoon and evening you can relax and enjoy a local beer in beer garden During the afternoon and evening you can relax and enjoy a local beer in the beer garden. Dinner is served in the beer garden or restaurant and is simple and tasty salads, fish and many specialties of meat, usually cooked on the grill. The staff is courteous, friendly and speak English ... somehow :-) I recommend to all!

Nice family-run hotel in a pleasant area

Hotel Schöne Aussicht lies close to the city of Giessen in Hesse, Germany. The location is excellent, close to the center but on the side of a leafy hill in Wettenberg. The castle Gleiberg dominates the next hill.
This is a typical german hotel in the positive sense, with beer-garden, restaurant and spacious rooms. The hotel consists of two wings, most rooms have a view but ours faced the other wing.
The beds were fine, everything spotlessly clean, and the breakfast excellent. This would be a good base to explore Hesse and the Frankfurt area, to return to a comfortable "home-from-home" in the evenings.
