Totally idyllic (reviewed outdoor pool)

At the beginning of September I went to the outdoor pool in the Kämpgens Hof in the evening and then stood in front of the locked gate. I guess there was so little going on that day that it wasn't assumed anyone else was coming. A man in the hotel then explained how I got in and I was allowed to stay longer (thanks!).
I was very surprised what an idyllic place is hidden right on 40 (you can hear a little too). The complex is very extensive and not necessarily visible from the street.
The outdoor swimming pool consists of three pools - small and flat, as a children's or sitting pool, medium and good for splashing and a larger one, in which you can easily pull some lanes. The pools were clean and definitely not too small, although I had them for single use.:)
There is a kiosk with good prices, which was of course already closed that day and a toilet, changing rooms I did not see, but since no one was there, it was not bad either. Otherwise, there are large sunbathing areas including chairs, a pond for fishing and an outdoor shower. Parking is just outside the door.
I found the area very nice and was able to relax there well, very much hope that the outdoor pool will reopen next year. This year it's probably a little cold to it. It's a super outdoor pool to visit if you don't feel like totally crowded pools and noisy, level-headed visitors.

Lovely family run hotel

We vist Techno Classic every year and have stayed at Kampgens hof many times. It is a traditional family run German hotel and the owners are fantastic, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a short stay. The rooms may be a bit dated but it adds to the charm of the hotel

Stop off on way to Harz

We chose this hotel as it was close to the route from UK to Harz area. It's situated about 2-3 minutes from the autobahn but was very quiet. The Staff were friendly and spoke English and the room was clean if a little small. There was a nice view over the garden and pool. Breakfast was the usual buffet and very pleasant. We both slept very well in the comfortable bed.
The outside swimming pool was very nice and we had a good swim.
We would stay again.

lovely little hotel

slightly awkward to find, but very close (less than 3 mins) from the autobahn network. excellent hotel, breakfast excellent and plentiful, wonderful and friendly hosts. Their special deals are cash only (saving about 20 euros a night). and English spoken.
next trip to Germany (Dortmund/Duisburg/Mulheim areas) will be staying there again.

Kämpgenshof – ich war zufrieden. Das Hotel liegt in dem ruhigen Gebiet, was für mich gut war. Das Frühstück am Montag 1.5. war nicht möglich. Das Zimmer war ausreichend. Der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Check-in war nur vor Ort möglich.
