Pleasant stay close to the center of Saarburg
Nice Hotel near the center of the cozy town of Saarburg.
Spacious and neat rooms and friendly staff.
Full and spacious breakfast.
The hotel met my expectations.
The entrance hall is in a shopping mall and the hotel is on the second floor but is easily accessible by elevator.
It took some searching because this is not indicated anywhere.
The staff is super friendly and helpful

Price/performance not suitable
Unfortunately, we cannot understand the many positive reviews. In our room, the shower was heavily dirty and partially infested with mold, in addition, the shower head was damaged and also moldy. The ventilation in the bathroom did not work, the water in the sink drained very poorly and several lamps in the room were without function.
In addition, there was the location on a busy road, which made sleeping with the window open impossible (this is not attributable to the hotel, but should be mentioned). In addition, the smoke vent in the stairwell had apparently been out of operation for some time and during our stay the elevator got stuck once – even if it worked again after a few minutes. These circumstances do not exactly contribute to a safe or pleasant feeling in addition to the lack of cleanliness of the room.
Positively noteworthy is the rich breakfast buffet as well as the refrigerator with chilled drinks in the lobby.

Week of cycling around Saarburg
I suspect recent building. On the ground floor there are several shops, including travel agency, pharmacy, clothing, classroom for non-native speakers... On second floor general practitioner, dentist, kine, etc.... Hotel (18 rooms?) on the top floor. Very spacious rooms. Bathroom sufficiently large.
Subject to imposition 25 € p/day we got an update with a kitchen...in this very hot period the provided fridge was EXTREMELY PLEASANT. No air conditioning (regrettable).. very small window (see photo)... A portable cooling system could refresh something, but you couldn't get the heat outside.... Very spacious breakfast room with plenty of amenities. In the hall where the rooms were there was an unpleasant smell.. This could only be removed by opening all the room doors, allowing fresh air to flow in.
At daily price of 5 € a parking space could be rented in the garage on floor -1 . Bicycles free to store in closed space in the garage.
At -2 : a very large food shop, cfr SPAR- Colruyt, etc...This could also be reached from the outside via a very large car park.

A few days of cycling from Saarburg
Booked the Hotel Galerie for a cycling holiday of a few days. Special, because on the 4th floor of a shopping center and multi-tenant building. Spacious, friendly welcome and German reliability.
Shower is spacious and dated at the same time.
Breakfast is good in an otherwise atmospheric breakfast room.
The location is excellent and parking is available under the building, just like the bicycles are locked separately. All in all, a great starting point for cycling in the area.

Great location, massive rooms
Situated a few minutes walk from the town centre, the hotel is in a block of shops and offices, sharing a large underground car park. Access to the hotel takes some working out and involves a lift from the car park through a door that can be tricky to open. The big benefit of the hotel are the enormous rooms - very useful when you've been travelling all day on a motorcycle in torrential rain. Wi-fi very fast and free. Breakfast a typical substantial German one. Have stayed here twice and see no need to look elsewhere in the pretty town of Saarburg.
