Visit by motorcycle with friends

This is the second time I have stayed here overnight with friends and once more it did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Nice and clean too. The beer is good and the food yummy! If you arrive early and feel peckish there is a good Imbiss directly opposite and a petrol station 100 yards away.
It was a balmy night and we sat outside the hotel on the front terrace for our beer and food. The bar staff were very attentive and we never ran out!

3 days in Salzkotten

Location
The Hotel is on the main road running East from the town centre. In front is a small carpark for maybe 10-12 cars which can get full. Opposite the Hotel is a greasy spoon and a petrol station.
In the reception area is a bar/restuarant and the rooms are upstairs, NO lift. Breakfast room is downstairs.
The rooms themsleves provided you are not right at the end are fine. The end rooms are in the gables and hence limited headroom and seemed to be noiser.
The rooms are quite spacious with double beds, the bathroom is clean and tidy and my room was made up everyday of the stay.
The rooms have quadruple glass as across the road is a petrol station which does get noisy at night. the room which I occupied had a shared balcony so theoretically there could be wanderers but I didn't see any.
The main road is quite noisey so I am not sure how the hotel guests deal with this is in the height of summer, in particular the rooms which face south.
Internet was fine and well behaved.
Never tried the restaurant but the beer in the bar was fine.

Very basic

Very basic hotel. Rooms are simple with the smell of oil which is coming from food kiosk accross the street. There was no hot meal during the breakfast which is disappointing. No one speaking english at the reception.

Overnight stay for 8 Motorcyclists.

My party arrived late afternoon after a long ride from Calais. We were hot, tired and possibly grumpy. The hotel staff heard us arrive and promptly came out to greet us and move one of their cars allowing us to park undercover. Moments later beers all round appeared. We all thought we would like it here!
The rooms were large, clean, well furnished and I had a balcony to enjoy my cigars. The en-suite was large and clean and the shower big enough for a larger person to use easily.
The food was a little up market but enjoyed by all.
The evening presented us with a spectacular view of lightning without the thunder as it was so far away. The beds were very comfortable.
Breakfast was the usual continental fare, tasty and plentiful.
I would stay here again and happily recommend to friends.

Nice, clean, friendly but limited

stayed on business trip. Internet unreliable, kept dropping out, but overall, very good hotel. Basic but clean and friendly. Breakfast is. Cold continental with reduce variety as the week went on. Used the restaurant one night, terrific food and great service.
Overall, very good, will use again when I'm in the area.
