Fantastic holiday

Just arrived back after a fantastic 2 weeks at Niirides. The accommodation (room 114) was the best we have ever experienced in Greece. Spacious, modern & very clean. The owner & all of his staff ensure that nothing is too much trouble. Pool is superb, plenty of sunbeds. Only 10 minutes walk into town & the nearest beach with sunbeds. A special thanks to Panos & Marina who look after the bar & help with reception they are two of the nicest people you could ever meet. The town of Methoni is pure greek charm with great places to eat & chill.
We will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay, will be recommending!

We are 5 days into our week long stay as a family of 5 with three teenagers. We usually do all inclusive resort style holidays so was unsure how this would compare, we couldn't be more pleased!
I'm a travel agent in the UK and will break the review down into key areas, this will be what I will feedback to my customers, I booked this through easyJet holidays as their price for flights and accommodation was unbeatable!
Location
The villas are located in Methoni about an hours drive from Kalamata airport. EasyJet holidays provide a private taxi transfer which was seamless and the driver was waiting for us when we left arrivals.
We didn't hire a car on this trip and the resort centre is just a 5-10min walk away where there are multiple bars and restaurants and the beach. The beach beds and parasols tend to be part of one of the bars so rather than a hire fee there is a minimum spend at the bar.
There are two small supermarkets to get your essentials from and a lovely bakery selling a wide variety of breads and fresh sweet and savoury pastries. We tended to go there for lunch or grab some bread ham and cheese from the shop to make toasties on the panini maker in the villa.
Villa
Out Villa was gorgeous pristinely clean and upon check in you choose how often you want to opt for cleaning. Pool towels are provided which is a great touch! Our Villa had two bedrooms, one with an en suite jacuzzi bath and then a sofa bed in the lounge, a well stocked kitchen and two large balcony/terrace areas. The villas are modern with great air con and the showers are hot and powerful! We really couldn't fault anything at all about it.
Food and Drink
Breakfast was provided each day, a selection of hot meats and eggs plus fresh backed pastries, breads and cakes. Beautiful homemade jams and marmalades and fresh orange juice. All delicious! The pool bar is lovely and reasonable priced the food is absolutely delicious, all home made and fresh- the pizzas are huge and delicious and can easily be shared! They also offer room service which we haven't used but what a treat! Cocktails really nice, fresh with premium spirits.
Pool
We couldn't believe our luck- travelling in the middle of August and quite often we were the only ones at the pool! Zero issues with reserving sunbeds or anything like that. The pool area is lovely and clean including the toilets and showers. As I mentioned earlier pool towels are provided and can be changed as you wish.
Service
The service here is impeccable, everyone is so friendly and can't do enough to help you. I feel like this holiday gave us everything we like from our usual resort holidays such as towels, lovely food and drinks, a modern clean and spacious villa whilst also having the freedom and space to be al a slower more relaxed pace and exploring the local area of Methoni. I've always associated self catering or bed and breakfast apartments with older more run down accommodations without the mod cons but this really does give the luxury of a new modern resort with the friendly service of a small family run setting.

Very good holiday experience

Great location to quiet one : Nearest houses around within 500m radius. You only hear the animals from the adjacent fields and the birds in the branches.
Also, within 5 minutes walk you are in the main square of Methoni with all the restaurants and shops (food store, pharmacy).
I do not put 5 stars for the following reasons: In the room where I was a) the fridge when he started working his motor made noise, which in the evening hours was annoying when you wanted to sleep and b) the sofa-bed rubbed with the slightest when you were lying down and it was very annoying.
Finally, to emphasize the excellent cleanliness in all rooms of the hotel and the good cuisine of the restaurant.

Lovely place!

Lovely accommodation, one of the best we’ve stayed in. Very clean with good facilities - great shower plus kitchen facilities (that you’d normally have in self catering). The staff are lovely, the young girl on reception in particular who even offered us the use of her bike at one point! The pool area is nice and they seemed to have a plentiful supply of sun beds which were never an issue - often we were the only ones around the pool despite most villas being full, and this was half term! I think a lot used it as a base to drive around the local area (not sure if this is typical). Breakfast was nice and appeared to be all organic, locally sourced and homemade. Only slight gripe were the fried eggs - they would have been better done to order as a few times they were hard due to being sat on the hot plate awhile. One piece of advice; on arrival we were given the option of daily or every other day room cleans. We opted for the latter but wished we’d done the former - the last clean was due the day before we were due to leave and it wasn’t done which wasn’t ideal. Other than that though, we had a great stay and would return.
