It's a cabin, so a little shabby, but good value

Staff was nice but things were a little chaotic when we were there, with a large group struggling to be accomodated. That being said the cabin was quite nice with its own bathrooms, if only a little cobwebby. But, it grew on me as I stayed. Would go there again but just be aware it truly is a cabin and its a little shabby, but good value for iceland. Grounds are grassy and you can walk to a view of the river. Convenience stores nearby.

Great location and restaurant but poor facilities

Stayed here as part of a group tour over NYE and it was a perfect location to see the Northern Lights, surrounded by snow and fir trees. However, even knowing that a big party of us were staying there was no one in reception when we arrived at night and so we had to drag our luggage through the deep snow in the freezing cold and the dark trying to find which cabin we were in - They could have at least left the lights on and cleared a pathway. Once inside some of the group didn't have power, light or heating and 1 didn't have a stove, just wires coming out of the wall. We stayed 1 night and then went to the nearby hotel. Very disappointed.

In need of maintenance!

This place is in dire need of repair. I was there with a tour and we stayed in the cottages. My cabin had no cold water out of the faucet in the bathroom, my friend’s cabin next to me had a non-locking front door, and another friend had a non-locking front door, a shower head that was held up with duct tape and a string, and a broken radiator. You were given one large bath towel, no hand towels or washcloths. There are no paper towels or anything you would have needed in the kitchenette area either. The main restaurant had a door that stayed locked due to disrepair, and you had to knock on the window to be able to get in. The property itself could be very nice, but clearly there is no TLC going into it at this time.

Had some issues

When we arrived there was a note stating to check in at the restaurant. The restaurant was closed due to flooding or something. Luckily we ran in to some other travelers who had called the establishment. We were told the door to our room was open and to just go in. The room was fine, not great, but fine. However, the shower didn't drain so you had to turn the water off while showering or you would flood the floor. The piece holding the handheld shower head was broken so you had to hold it. The rain shower was not that great. The floor is slippery when coming out of the shower and there was no bath mat and no extra towel to put on the floor.

Warm and cozy

Stayed on this cabin, 2 beds, a toilet and showers and kitchen , it was a night well spent.
All the cabin was clean, the view was awesome.
The only problem i had is that i couldn't connect to Wi-Fi.
It is worth to pass by and rest well
