The resort was exactly as described. Clean , secluded , in touch with nature , great and helpful staff . Overall a very good stay

Our room was picturesque it overlooked the ocean and the beautiful flowers it was gorgeous. However our bathroom light was not working and my husband had to grab a lamp to put in the bathroom for proper lighting. I did call down to let them know that and they said they would come in the morning to fix it. However, I didn’t get a call in the morning and we checked out that day at noon. As well our shower was not working properly and you couldn’t increase the water temperature. There are instructions on how to increase the temperature however ours was clearly broken. Our room was clean though so that was nice and our welcome drink was delicious. Although the cleaning staff left their cleaning rag in the closet I think from deep cleaning their staff did come and pick it back up. Our balcony had someone’s eaten food in a box with their completed drink left out there that wasn’t cleaned but we didn’t notice it until the morning.Our breakfast was good there is an eight or 10% gratuity on any food ordered there but it was good food. The property is doing some construction but it doesn’t affect guests or amenities and was not noisy, which is nice. It was an OK stay for one night

DO NOT BOOK! Ripoff! Nothing like the ads or photos.

Ripoff! Nothing like the ads. My husband booked two nights, sight unseen for my 65th birthday . We arrived to an active construction site and complete mess animal feces around the steps to get to the “ best room “ We walked in and right out and respectfully cancelled and explained that there was no sea view and the place was clearly not up to the standard and expectations set by the SS on hotels.com Management was contacted by hotel.com and American Express but refused our refund! How short sighted, they felt is was fair to charge us $600 for only stepping into the room and turning around. Don’t waste your time or money. Unethical, desperate people who are unprofessional . We have been vacationing Jamaica since 1984 , married in Ocho Rios in 1989., own property in West Moreland. This is the first time I ever wrote a negative review! Not even worth a look, especially considering the beautiful options in Port A where you can enjoy true Jamaican hospitality hand integrity. Shame on you!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel offers a beautiful view over the bay and has a great boutique feel, with the hotel, restaurant, and bar all seamlessly integrated in one place. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming.
The main downside was the room, which did not quite match our expectations. While it was very spacious, it featured a mezzanine floor with steep steps that felt unsafe for our baby—something that wasn’t apparent from the photos. In addition, the large wall of windows had no curtains, so we were woken up early each morning by daylight. Lastly, there seemed to be an issue with the hot water, which fluctuated between very cold and very hot.

Enjoyable stay at LF Jungle Retreat. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms have good air conditioning and are spacious. Grounds are lovely and the pool great. The bar is a wonderful place to enjoy a sundowner overlooking the sea and countryside. A great base for exploring the area - but you definitely need a car!
