The best place to stay in Tottori and maybe even japan. The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Great location and beautiful view. The staff were superb, super friendly and accommodating. Had an amazing dinner every night of my stay. Would most definitely come back again. already missing this place!!

Delicious Dinner

Jpy6XXXX for 4 persons, a bit pricy, but I feel this is the norm for Japanes Ryokan. The location is convenient if you drive, close to the market and around 20 min drive to sand dunes. The public bar is small and water not hot enough. Surprisingly, the dinner was deliciously cooked although the ingredients were not really luxury.
Don’t bring big suit case, you would be regret when you need to carry a big suit case to 3rd floor through the narrow staircase.

Average ryokan

We stayed for one night. We took one of the smaller rooms (Shiozi) with the diner + breakfast course. The cost totaled slightly above 33,000 yen for two people. The room's flooring was all traditional tatami mats, had air conditioning and a private restroom.
The staff was very kind and came to our room to bring us towels and yukatas, make our beds, bring us tea, etc… We had access to showers and hot springs which have a view on Tottori port. Wi-fi is free and a TV is available for use.
Our dinner was very traditional in the Japanese sense, but aside the Tottori beef sukiyaki, it lacked flavor. The same also applied for breakfast.
This ryokan is also far from any convenience store, and they lock the doors during the evening so you must use the emergency exit if you need to go out to buy anything, but it’s not well indicated.
In all, it was a good experience, but felt a bit lacking for what we paid.

従業員の方々本当に優しいです。

友達と２人での男旅。当日の予約にも関わらずかなり親切な対応をしてくれて安心しながら宿に到着。港沿いにあるとても趣深い宿です。初上陸ということで当方わからないことも多く、質問にも懇切丁寧に答えてくれました。おもてなしが暖かい、とても良い人たちばかりです。鳥取砂丘は車で行くと近いようですが、私たちが徒歩で旅をしているということで大変ご親切にも砂丘に行きたい旨をお伝えしたところ自転車を貸していただきました。お陰で本当に良い旅になりました。夜ご飯は当日の予約ということで食べられませんでしたが、朝ごはんも非常に美味しく、至れり尽くせりでございました。本当に、良い宿です。

こじんまりして良いお宿

イカが美味しいということらしいので、宿泊先を選択。
駐車場は少し離れたところに３台ほど止められる場所がありました。
目の前が道路を挟んで、ヨットハーバー？というか、船がとめてある場所でした。
縦長で、決して広くはありませんが、静かで落ち着いたところでした。年配の方には階段や段差があり大変かもしれません。
遅めのチェックインで夕食なしだったのですが、丼ものなどを提供していただくなどお気遣いいただきとても美味しくいただきました。
（噂通り安くて美味しいです）時間の関係もあり、夕食なしの宿泊でしたが、夕食付きがいいかもしれません。
朝ごはんも可愛らしく、量も多すぎず少なすぎず、とても美味しかったです。
