Comfort and renovated rooms at 4* Postillion Utrecht Bunnik hotel

Postillion Utrecht Bunnik pleasantly surprises with efficient service, friendly staff, and an attractive atmosphere. The comfort of the renovated rooms, complimentary parking, the surprising offer of vegan dishes at the versatile restaurant are real highlights.
All in all, a very pleasant experience, certainly for both business and leisure guests.

Despite giving reception our vehicle registration nbr on checkin, every time we left the pkg lot, we had to call reception to let us out which was challenging 3/4 times when they were not available to answer. Wifi was unstable and insecure needing to add VPN for safety. Gym equipment was not well maintained, twisted, broken machine cables. Had to ask for extra pillows and caffeinated coffee. No hand towels provided, only bath towels. Shower water did not drain properly as the tiles not slanted to the drain causing flooding on the floor. Fuse in the room blew twice (maybe our adapter ;( Staff couldn't answer any questions about the EV chargers 'totally independent from them' which is fine but for customer service, u wd think they'd want to know a bit about them.

Terrible hotel

A hotel that at the slightest opportunity tries to steal money from you by claiming that you have broken something in the room or that you have smoked. They tried to fine us 250 euros for (according to them) having broken something in the bathroom. A real humiliation, they wouldn't let us leave until they checked the room, and when they saw that everything was in perfect order, they accused us of smoking and asked for 250 euros. A disgrace. Furthermore, the hotel is on the outskirts of Utrecht, the only thing around it is an industrial park where you can't buy anything... I don't recommend it at all.

Take water if you are thirsty

The hotel is clean and nice. The conference area looked good. The restaurant has much more to desire. They ran out of food and they didn't have tap water. If you wanted water, you could buy bottled water for 8.5 euros. This even if you wanted water for the wine. The water must be gilded in this place to cost that much, right? We didn’t dare shower with our mouths open because then they will come and invoice it too…

For a hotel that markets itself as business-friendly, I was quite surprised about a couple crucial things: the internet connection was slow and unstable. A couple important online meetings I had dropped because of this and it was highly frustrating.
Also, for the day we checked out, I needed to take some other calls after checkout time. I was told by the staff that I had to pay €7 per hour to use the business area if I wasn’t staying overnight that night. I find this ridiculous, since the checkout time is at 11 am and only needed to work until 1pm, and I was a guest at the hotel the previous nights.
