Nice hotel in a relaxing environment.

I stayed with my friend here 1 night for a festival that was going on in Hoogeveen. The hotel itself was nice and in a really relaxing environment. The owners were nice and helpful and even fixed a ride for us from the hotel to the festival venue, free of charge! If I ever go back to Hoogeveen this is where I will stay again-

Unreliable hotel

We booked there on arrival a big gang we have walked around in the kitchen dining room did not look at reception no one was close a staff member or construction worker turned us away because they were remodeling otherwise there was no one parking space empty only very old caravan.
After which we had to look for another hotel at 17:30 after work not really nice next day called several times but no one reachable at hotel after a few days we got mail that we have to pay while hotel sent us away.
Sent mail again and called no response back. Now 3 months later he has had party and staff talked and no one had sent us away strange story after 3 months we have tried to call again many times not reachable strange for hotel that is not reachable.
Never go to unreliable hotel and owner.

A surprising Sardinian experience in a Drenthe forest!

A romantic little hotel, which is now being renovated by a super enthusiastic owner, who wants to offer the guests in the Savings Bank Forest a Sardinian experience. Despite the hustle and bustle around the renovation we felt very welcome. What a beautiful place! You must have the gift of giving priority to the sound of the bird concerts early in the morning and therefore not hearing the sound of traffic rushing along the A28. We will definitely go back to this nice hotel when it is finished. What we heard: Hoogeveen could use such a hotel! We hope for the sake of the new owner that his dream will come true.

Clean - mid range small family hotel. Breakfast and Dinner only

Family hotel. Breakfast and Dinner only. Breakfast cold cuts. Rooms basic but clean. No elevator. Dinner options limited with small kitchen staff. Nicely situated in forest outside Hoogeveen. Walking trails and ample parkings.

Clean, friendly but dated

I visited here this weekend for a business visit. The first thing I noticed was red electrical tape holding a piece of carpet.
It strikes me that tape sums up the whole establishment: it is tidy, very clean, but dated. My room was vast but a little cold. The en suite was totally spotless but the brown fittings are a from a decade long past.
The carpet is from the same age but equally clean.
I had a decent evening meal, though lamb chops were the only thing available. Breakfast was traditional meat and cheese, with some breads. It wasn't to my taste, but was ok.
My stat was functional, I'm not sure I would stay for business again and would avoid it for a leisure stay.
