Hotel under construction.

Currently hotel not at its best due to major renovation. A little messy in the remaining part.
In itself the rooms and restaurant are still as always (cleaning could be better and speed restaurant is a bit slow ).

Great hotel

The hotel is between average and very good, just fine. Passing through by motorcycle, I had booked this hotel. A great hotel, with a good room, bed and bathroom. Dinner was also good, breakfast was varied enough for everyone and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was renovated, but I didn't notice anything of that, the only minus I found was the staircase and the elevator. I thought it looked a little old, the walls had holes where something had hung. The atmosphere in the stairwell / elevator, could have been a bit neater. I also indicated that in the hotel review form.

Fallen ill from an extremely cold room

My wife and I were invited by our sister-in-law to join her family on Christmas Day for dinner at Shufu Cuisine in Groningen. Because this is more than 2.5 hours away for us, I booked a room at Bastion hotel Groningen. Unfortunately, the heating turned off. The display on the wall to set the temperature did not work. Even when set to 27 degrees, the room did not get half a degree warmer. My wife was not bothered, because she went to bed prior to dinner. I went to read a book, but over time I got uncontrollable chills. Reported to reception. There I was told that the previous guest probably turned off the radiator valve, because the display for setting the temperature does not work. He was supposed to fix it at our dinner party. It turned out to be the case. The next morning I woke up with a bad cold. In the breakfast room I heard the hotel manager ask the only other couple if their room had become warm. The story about a previous guest who had turned off the radiator valve has become implausible. The hotel has probably turned off the heating in the rooms due to the low occupancy rate. Too bad the few guests who did book had to fall victim to that.
Boxing Day we would celebrate our family Christmas with and with our children and grandchildren. I was able to take my wife there, but I was too ill to stay there myself Thanks Bastion for the lonely Boxing Day your extremely cold room gave me

Good again!

Friendly staff, clean rooms and great sleep, breakfast was good too!
Also the lunch I got was delicious!
I've been there before and like the hotel.

Happy relaxing night

Slept wonderfully after a busy day at the David Cup in martini plaza. Beds were nice, shower nice and warm. Reception was very warm
