Good surprise

Great location to visit the surroundings. Small but clean and comfortable room. Shower room with sink and this. Clean. All you need is a piece of furniture to put your toilet bag on.
Very hearty breakfast. We also had dinner both evenings at the hotel. Good meal. Friendly and friendly welcome. Very correct price

A Hidden Gem Near Gouda – Perfect for Both Business and Leisure

I stayed at this wonderful hotel during a business trip and was genuinely impressed. The location is peaceful and rustic, yet only a stone's throw away from the beautiful city of Gouda, making it an ideal place to unwind after a busy day.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, full of character, and equipped with air conditioning, which made my stay very comfortable. The entire property has a unique historic atmosphere that you simply have to experience for yourself.
What really stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. The food was also excellent—fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared.
This is a truly charming place that combines history, comfort, and genuine hospitality. I highly recommend it, whether you're travelling for business or leisure. They often have rooms available, but I would still recommend calling the hotel directly, as they are very helpful and can provide the latest availability.

Best bang for your buck in this beautifull area.

Very positive experience.
Small room, though, but beds really super !.
No desk but well...laptop on the lap on the fine chairs...that's actually quite right.
No TV........thankfully !....not missed a beat!
Peace !....silence...., a beautiful historically important area nearby to explore and visit and...above all...extremely friendly and committed staff in this historic building and that for a decidedly reasonable price.
We keep warm and beautiful memories of our visit to this hotel.

Not recommended

Dated property with poor temperature control and soundproofing. Rooms only accessible by steep external stairs. Poor communication about restaurant opening hours when booking. Moderate availability at check-in. Unable to send an invoice by mail when it was promised. Reason: the office is closed for two months and we can't get to it. Price/quality ratio not in order. Lots of experience with hotels, but not yet experienced this. Downright bad, so not recommended.

On the terrace by the water

On (probably) one of the last sunny days we sat on the terrace on the Hollandsche IJssel for a drink. Nice location, friendly service. Nothing wrong with that.
