A unique experience!

This castle has 2 rooms to stay in. It is not the castle itself but one of the two towers that stand there. The tower is quite spacious, it has two floors: the first floor is the sleeping area, where there is a double bed and a bathroom plus toilet, the second floor is the living area which is equipped with TV, dining table, pantry. Breakfast is served in the tower and is very diverse.
The castle is surrounded by nature where there is plenty of opportunity for walking, and close to the center which can be done on foot. In the center there are plenty of restaurants for everyone.
Free parking is available on site.

Medieval experience

Outstanding staying, best from our trip, in genuine castle tower. Real medieval castle, wall , towers, moat and inner yard, all of this lovely keeping. In the tower - bedroom and kitchenette/hall room, view from narrow windows at a moat as at old time sedge. Great museum in main castle building, excellent breakfast delivery at morning, welcome friendly staff - for history funs - as I am - worth to stay!

Huis Bergh: One of the best preserved/restored castles in the Netherlands

This Castle is well preserved and restored. The original owners played an important role in the 80 year war (1568-1648) the Dutch fought against the Spaniards. Furniture and paintings are well worth the visit and so are the gardens and smaller buildings (a.o. the "Mint").

An incrediable experience

Such a special castle to stay in. We had one of the two tower rooms and the interior was modern and super clean and comfortable. The design was very nice. The atmosphere on the grounds was authentic and beautiful. We had a wonderful time and can highly recommend staying here. I will definitely return.

The best experience

Sleeping in the tower of a real castle was a once in a lifetime experience for us. The entire visit couldn't have gone better. Without saying, the castle itself is beautiful and was a trip back in history. The room we stayed in had two levels, a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom were on the lower level. Living room type quarters were on the upper level which is reached by a winding brick staircase. A huge and complete typically Dutch breakfast is brought in the morning by a kind Dutch lady. We took the short walk into town for dinner. We were lucky as the beautiful Catholic Church, which is located a few steps from the castle, was starting Mass as we were walking by. We were welcomed in and participated in the service which was said in Dutch. Unlocking the centuries old metal gate and heavy wooden door upon our return in the evening is something we won't forget.
The entire staff at the castle couldn't have been kinder and helpful. We can find only positives for this visit, we wish we could have spent two nights!
