Amazing Hotel

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The staff, rooms (the AC!), food, location, price and more. I stayed more to stay at another hotel my last night after an excursion and was extremely disappointed. Puerto Amazonico is the most reliable and reputable hotel in Puerto Maldonado. I would not recommend to do business anywhere else.

Don't book my friend, isn't worth your pennies

Thought a nice executive suite though (in the pictures then), but the room was otherwise boring and empty. Nice big bed, but that was it. In such a warm location, you have two air conditioning units in the hotel room, one of which makes a sound as if someone is tapping it all the time with a screwdriver, but louder. It is that the other one just gives a normal sound, otherwise we would have sweated our ass off.
Next morning we woke up and thought, “Let’s have a nice breakfast!”. Well, no, we got a bag from a catering company that ordered the hotel for us, containing a dry, square sandwich bread with scrambled eggs and a little bit of bacon and papaya without any taste. Well, delicious, no. The poorest thing was, they didn't even have coffee or tea. You could only choose from hot water. There is no need for coffee or tea in the hot weather, but I do choose hot water last in Puerto Maldonado.
Then the pool was also once inoperative and the elevator too and we had to lift everything to the 3rd floor. Well, after breakfast me and my girlfriend decided to ask for the money back from the other days I had booked. Then my friend “quarreled” with the hotel desk clerk because it had to ask Booking.com for the money back. But I didn't pay them, I just made reservations, so they had nothing to do with it. We called Booking.com and they told that desk attendant to give back the money from the other nights I had booked. Eventually got it back, but the requirement is that you have to speak Spanish or have someone who knows the Spanish language well to get it done, because they don't speak almost a single word of English and then they might say, figure it out yourself in Spanish and if you want to whine about wanting your money back afterwards, they're going to threaten you to call the police.
I wouldn't book at this hotel. They say it's a three-star hotel, but it's more like a one-star hotel. I'll give them that one star because of the big bed.

Good place but with some things to improve

In terms of infrastructure, it is quite good for the city average. The pool is not that big and is on the first floor which does not make it so attractive. The elevator is sometimes disconnected in bad weather. The room is very good. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and other clean materials. The air conditioning is good although it takes a while to take effect. Their weak point is breakfast, bad coffee and unpleasant fruit. The bread could have been better.

This is a Great Hotel

This is the best value in Puerto Maldonado!!! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The air condition is awesome! The water is always hot!!! The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good!!! I have stayed at other higher priced hotels in Puerto thinking I would get a better place to stay. I had problems at all of them. I Stay Here All The Time Now. I will not go back to the other Hotels. Amazonico also has a van to pick you up at the Air Port.

Nice and clean

Nice place, the lady at the front desk spoke english, which was nice. Pool was closed and would have been nice after 1100km on a motorcycle. They provided off street, secure parking for the motorcycles.
