A gem off the beaten track

You may not travel to Wielun in Poland for a holiday, but you may pass it on the way to Wroclaw or Łódź.
Then please don’t miss out on this gem of a hotel and restaurant.
Nice, clean rooms, with AC. Quiet and comfortable.
The restaurant has ambitions, and live up to them. We had a nice meal that included a perfectly cooked trout.
Nice breakfast with local specialities.
Friendly staff, including a receptionist that speaks perfect (Irish) English. Recommended.

food is perfect!!

I have been to this restaurant several times, I can recommend you everything from the menu. Very nice place to eat!! I have spend few nights in their hotel facility as well and it is very standard but acceptable for a 3 star hotel.

Good size rooms, nice bfast - no air con

We have spent one night at the Zielona Weranda in Wielun. Our receptionist/manager at the front desk spoke English which was great. The rooms are small but absolutely sufficient and foremost clean. The bfast is great with some local delicacies (Pattee, tartar sauce, local fresh white cheese). Although the hotel is next to a road, the rooms were fairly quiet.
The only thing was that the night we stayed in was extremely hot and there was no aircon in the room. The fan that we had in the room didn't do the job so we woke up a bit tired. We paid 40 euros or so for a room including bfast - you really can't complain! :-)

A gem

Almost on the road but very nice, clean, friendly and reasonably priced. Double room, 3-course dinner and breakfast for two, approx €70! Very nice and professional staff all round. Evening meal was superb, as was breakfast.
Thourougly enjoyed our stop-over.
(Toothpaste and conditioner would be as appreciated as soap and shampoo...just a tip.)

Often visited - always perfect!

I'll preface this by saying we had a wedding reception in this hotel in July 2011. The weekend we and our guests spent here were wonderful. The pre-wedding service and attention given to us while we were planning our day was excellenty in every way. The food here is second to none - at our wedding, all of it (and I mean from start at 3.00pm on Saturday to finish at 4.00am on Sunday night) was truly the best feast imaginable. The staff were and still are wonderful. We've been back here many times, for dinner, coffee and cake and most recently for lunch. The wedding reception rooms are arranged so that can accomodate small or big crowds - there is a main room with an annex; there's an outdoor seating area - perfect for a BBQ. The bedroomds are spacious and modern - and brekfast each morning was amazing! DOes it sound good? It is! If you're in the Wielun area, try it for lunch, coffee, dinner - or better still, get married there!
