We enjoyed a lovely stay! The quinta and grounds were beautiful and exactly as described/pictured. We relaxed by the pool, enjoyed the views, had a lovely evening meal with their wine, and a great breakfast the next morning. Fransisco was a very gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed, including local recommendations! Thank you for a great time! Obrigada!

Perfect stay

Exceptional stay at Quinta Dona Matilde. Everything was perfect, room, mancha coffee, location. And a special thanks to Francisco who received us very well!!

Spectacular secluded location, easily drivable to town. Guest house was charming and Francesco provided exceptional personalized client service. Their wine was fantastic. Pool overlooking river was delightful. Beautiful vineyard walks. Fresh lemons and oranges. Scrupulous breakfast. Did we love every minute- YES we did!!

Beautiful Quinta for peaceful stay

This family home consists of 5 bedrooms, the welcome is warm and personalized, everything is very comfortable and very clean. The estate is beautiful, the view is everywhere incredible, the atmosphere is peaceful. The heated pool offers a very pleasant moment of relaxation. The breakfast room is very nice and all the products offered are of quality. We feel like guests or family members. We enjoyed the homemade port glass offered at the time that suits us best. The location is also ideal to discover the beautiful Douro Valley. A Quinta warmly recommends!

We really enjoyed our stay. Francisco was the best -very friendly, great service, and fantastic recommendations for dinner, boat tour, and other quintas to visit. It was nice to meet the owners as well and talk with them about the harvest season. Will definitely recommend and will come back the next time we’re in the Douro.
