Hotel Astoria Superior is within a 5-minute walk from Bled Lake, a lush park and Bled Castle. The bar features a summer terrace and a wellness centre. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature, a safe, a desk and a cable TV.

Modern room, good location to the lake, parking available and wellness centre a bonus
Visited for three nights in August 2026 with my wife.
THE HOTEL
Staff and check-in / check out are quick and efficient. There is a QR code at reception and in the room that you can download hotel information and the surrounding area.
We had a superior room with a glimpse of the lake
The room was adequate in size as was the en-suite. The room was really nice, modern decor with a double bed, safe, seating bench and balcony. The room has been cleverly designed to optimise storage space for suit cases and clothes etc.
BREAKFAST
We had booked breakfast and there is a really good option of continental and cooked food, orange juices, tea and coffee etc. You can sit in side the spacious dinning area or outside on the decking area. The breakfast was great
WELLNESS CENTRE
When you scan the QR code you get to choose a free gift (hire of e-scooter etc). We choose a complimentary visit the the wellness area. It has 4 saunas, including finnish and turkish, an inside and outdoor jacuzzi as well as outdoor and indoor beds/loungers - and also provides a range of refreshments. The wellness area is fantastic and pity you only get one free session. You can also book separate massages at a price.
LOCATION
The location is excellent. A two minute walk from the main bus station and also where you get the bus to visit Vintgar Gorge.
Its a five minute walk to the lake and close to a number of restaurants and cafes. Our favourite was "The Old Cellar" where you can book tables overlooking the lake
PARKING
We had a hire car and the hotel has parking at the front, side and at the rear (underground). Parking was a bit hit and miss but we always got a space coming back from our day trips at various times of the day.
In summary, this is a three star hotel, but you will not find a better three star. The rooms and hotel was modern, the hotel is clean, well located to the lake and bus station, staff efficient, breakfast excellent, parking available and the wellness centre an extra bonus. A good choice if staying in Lake Bled

a comfortable hotel in Bled
We stayed at the Astoria hotel for 5 nights in June. This hotel is a modern building just up from the lake and tourist centre but in a quiet location. It is a smart, comfortable hotel and had free guest parking. They do not claim to have a view of the lake but we could just see it through the trees from our room.
We were given room 314 which had lounge as well as the bedroom and both had a balcony. There was a coffee machine with two pods for expresso coffee but no kettle in the room to no choice of larger cups of coffee and no facility for making tea. No mini fridge either. There is a room safe and a reasonable amount of hanging, shelf and drawer space and ample space to store your suitcases. TV and desk area in the lounge. Free wife and air con. There was a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, hairdryer, toiletries via dispensers plus a shower cap. Unfortunately the bath towels were tiny. Not seen such small bath towels since the 1960’s. The lighting in the bedroom was ‘subtle’ but a bit too dim for my liking.
There is a wellness centre here but I did not try it.
Breakfast offered a great selection of hot and cold buffet with certain items cooked to order. There was also a nice selection of local produce. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful.

excellent hotel.
We stayed here before heading off cycling. The hotel facilities are excellent. Breakfast in the morning was brilliant, especially for me as I'm gluten and lactose intolerant, plenty of breakfast options were available. Room was great with a view over towards the lake. Overall, a very good hotel in a great location (just set back from the main tourist area and very handy for the buses).

Needs improvement.
Stayed for 3 nights in May.
Good:
- Location - close to restaurants and the lake/castle for nice walks.
- Spa - this saves the hotel, without it, the hotel loses another star in our eyes. It’s quiet, well equipped and the staff specifically in the spa were friendly and helpful. They also have great environmentally focused scheme where you get free access if you don’t have your room cleaned.
Bad:
Front desk - on arrival we couldn’t have felt less welcome. Barely said a word to us and provided no information about the hotel, spa or local area. You are left fully to work everything out yourself.
Room - the room itself is very small, but the main issue was tonnes of simple snagging issues that could easily be resolved. Plug hanging out the wall, shower head badly leaking, toilet flush button broken, wardrobe doors didn’t close, secondary door lock didn’t work and carpet was badly stained and damaged.
Breakfast - selection was fine, but again the service was so poor. Hardly any cutlery or place matts put out, so you could see confusion from every guest on where to sit. We also came down one morning at 9:40 and despite the breakfast being open until 10, the staff were putting everything away and made us feel very inconvenient for them.
All in all we wouldn’t stay again and can see why several other hotels we tried were fully booked, but this one wasn’t.

Poor structure, bad experience
Hotel in a great location, with parking available, although not always guaranteed.
The rooms are aesthetically beautiful, but the cleanliness was very poor.
Towels were small and often dirty; on some occasions they were missing altogether. After accidentally staining the topper, it was not changed for an entire week.
I found the presence of bugs already on the first evening (one found under the topper) and their presence continued for several days during the stay.
The ashtray has been full all week without ever being emptied.
Also, the room was dimly lit.
The pools weren't working.
The staff proved rude and, at check-out, we were not even asked how the stay had gone.
Overall negative experience, especially with regard to hygiene, maintenance and reception.
