Decent hotel, not great location

Hotel was fine, the staff were great. The location, not so great. We arrived after a hard, long days cycling. The staff were great, safe storage with charging points for an ebike. Nothing wrong with the hotel, just a bit bland I suppose. The location isn't great, its about 500m from the Italian border set up as the first casino in Slovenia for Italians. It felt like the hotel for non-gamblers was a side affair. If you want a clean, safe stay with nothing near-by, then this place will be ok. if you want options for evening meals, then its not for you.

Hotel ment for casino players

I could not help myself not to get a feeling that hotel guests who are playing in hotel casino are the only interest of this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and during that time nobody checked our room, cleaned it or changed towels. The breakfas was really good the first and the third morning, the second morning it was beyond average.
The ventilation system in bathroom was so loud that it was heard even trough closed door.
Otherwise the hotel is on quiet place and despite a really huge number of casino players in the evening (probably also during night) we didn't hear them to our room. Room had one of the best views in my life. Astonishing. If service in the hotel would follow the location it could be a 5 stars review.

gorgeous landscapes and the kindest owner

The location of the hotel is in beautiful coutryside of western Slovenia, which is really close to Italy. It provides special trip to wine region Goriska Brda, where you can enjoy the almost tuscan atmosphere. They have really good food, the staff are more than nice and the owner is one of the most kind people.

Nice for travelers and gamblers

Casino hotel in the wonderful slovenian landscape of Goriška Brda. Friendly stuff, clean rooms, nice food. This is great hotel to discover around wineyards and wine cellars and some local food. In surroundings are also some small castels to see.
