Idyllic lovely place; Ramón and Lydia utterly delightful

I stayed here for one night after arriving on a long ferry to Barcelona. Albinyana was calm and tranquil, and Lydia and Ramón were extremely helpful and charming. For example, they helped me bring in my bags, and my bicycle, and were flexible with my request to have an early breakfast next morning.
The room itself was small but perfectly formed, with air conditioning, lovely elegant details, and was spotless.
It was a delight to stay here.

Delightful place, lovely family

This is an immaculate restoration of a village house and the family are very welcoming - everywhere spotless .
Lovely little lounge with a great log fire for winter .
On a Monday night just after Xmas we were short on options to dine out , so ate in . We live in Southern Spain so understand late eating culture , but nothing before 9pm is a little too much for people travelling all day.
Food was adventurous , but not to our taste, my partner is vegetarian and just salad and a plate of potatoes didn't do it for her.
This is a famous wine producing area , but my choices were nothing special and the small glasses did not make the most of them.
Breakfast ok , no more .
We wish this charming couple well and if they can raise the level of the food offering they have it made !

Gracias por vuestro comentario no ha hecho mucha ilusión, solo comentar que no somos especialistas en comida vegetariana, pero si tenemos diferentes tipos de ensaladas y como comenta, tenemos unas patatas con trufa que no pudimos ofrecer ya que se nos había terminado la trufa, lo sentimos mucho. Hacemos varios platos caseros y también diferentes tipos de tablas, no hay que olvidar que no somos un restaurante sino una pequeña casa rural y aún así ofrecemos variedad de platos tanto fríos como calientes, en el caso de una dieta especial como la vegetariana o vegana se recomienda avisar con antelación ya que en el caso de no poder atender su petición le podemos recomendar algún restaurante especializado en la zona. Referente a los vinos, estamos en el Penedés y trabajamos con vinos de la zona, tenemos tres tintos, dos rosados, dos blancos y un cava, como ya he comentado antes somos una pequeña casa rural, que servimos por botella o a copas como en cualquier establecimiento.
Servimos las cenas a las 21h, una hora normal en España, pero en el pueblo a 100m. de la casa hay un bar que sirve comidas a cualquier hora. Sentimos que el servicio de cenas no fuera de su agrado, tenemos platos caseros que son muy elaborados y de mucha calidad, como callos de bacalao, albóndigas con sepia, calamares a la marinera, mini longanizas ibéricas, chorizos gallegos a la sidra, callos morenos, caracoles con chorizo ibérico.. pero no son aptos para vegetarianos, disculpen las molestias y esperamos haber mejorado para la próxima vez, gracias de nuevo y un saludo desde Cal Ganso, Albinyana.

Picturesque, serene, warm and friendly

We stayed for a week and found Cal Ganso to be wonderfully pleasant and relaxing, with so many lovely little touches within.
The owners are very polite and accommodating, the rooms are well decorated and spotlessly clean.
All the amenities you expect are present, and the B&B is located in a beautiful, secluded area, which was perfect for us.
A car would definitely be required for staying in this and the surrounding area. Parking is not a problem.
Would certainly visit again.
Nos alojamos por una semana y encontramos Cal Ganso sea maravillosamente agradable y relajante, con muchos pequeños detalles preciosos dentro. Los propietarios son muy amables y serviciales, las habitaciones están bien decoradas.
Todas las comodidades que se pueden esperar están presentes, y el B & B se encuentra en una hermosa y tranquila zona, que era perfecto para nosotros. Un coche sin duda se requiere para estar en esto y los alrededores. El aparcamiento no es un problema. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

Lovely Rural place to stay

We stayed for two nights in this lovely house in the small town of Albinyana. The owners, Ramon and Lydia were great hosts and made us very welcome in their lovely home. They don't speak much English but that doesn't matter as it's enough to get by and they're so helpful. We took the trekking excursion trip and the winery visit which they organised for us and both were fantastic. The trekking excursion is great, I really recommend this and it's a beautiful way to see the town, explore the surrounding hills and learn more about the Catalan culture. I would also recommend having a home cooked meal by Lydia - her traditional homecooked food is fantastic. The rooms are gorgeous, as is the house and the room we were in had lovely views across the fields outside. Sometimes it's a bit noisy with farmers and one of the neighbours has a cockeral which crows but we had no trouble sleeping. The breakfast is a buffet-style and consists of the typical things you would expect, cakes (sometimes home baked - lovely!), meats, cereal, bread/toast, jams etc. Everything was lovely and we felt so welcome in their home. Thanks to you both for a lovely stay!

"Incredible in every way"

Located in a sleepy Sanish village, this small country hotel is exceptionally beautiful and the owners Ramon & Lydia are the most perfect hosts. I can recommend trying an evening meal which is cooked to perfection by Lydia. The hotel offers some spa treatment and can arrange activities like guided walks, caving & Horse riding. We took the train from the nearby town of El Vendrell into Barcelona for a day & also toured the surrounding countryside. We live in Spain and next time we want to visit Barcelona or surrounding area we will one again be visiting Cal Ganso.
