Located between the heart of Barcelona (15 minutes by car) and the airport (five minutes by car), Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower stands as a futuristic tower offering luxurious rooms with breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

Regency Lounge experience excellent overall, nice view from high rooms, breakfast & staff wonderful
While the location is much further out than we'd suggest for most tourists visiting Barcelona, we had such a lovely room, with a view high up, the lounge experience overall, and fantastic breakfast spread that we would still likely choose to come back here and get an Uber in/out of the busy centro areas, and enjoy getting out of the hustle & bustle in the evenings.
There were several members of staff that helped to make our stay more enjoyable, special mention to Diana at breakfast - so friendly and professional.
A rare Hyatt that has further twin bed room/suite options than just the standard twin rooms, which - as a couple who prefers two beds while traveling - made for a 10/10 experience!
One negative we hope changes ASAP:
The Regency Lounge is massive with a great choice of seating options to suit one's needs, however we would love to see a sign requiring guests who want to take phone calls, video calls, watch TikTok etc. to use headphones. Just like the airlines are doing now, as it was the only dampener of our stay: hearing phones at high volume (or even low volume!) from other guests who seem to not care about anyone else's lounge experience, is especially annoying when otherwise it's a great set up.

Booked this Hotel to City Trip Barcelona, a 10 Min Taxi ride makes it the perfect location. Nice Hotel, Big Clean fabulous rooms. Super convenient parking.
A big let down was that the Skyfall Bar which is advertised is closed for renovation since March and could not be visited, as shame as one of the reasons I booked the place. Also Leaving early in the morning I asked for checkout the evening before, which I was told was nt possible. In many years of traveling for business I'd never come across a Hotel that size that can not check you out the night before, not very customer focused.
Breakfast however was very good, and is well worth the 20€ they charge.
Overall a very good Hotel with a couple of let downs.

Disappointing experience – not what we expected from a 5-star hotel
We booked this hotel largely because of the Skyline Restaurant, which was prominently featured on Hotels.com and advertised as offering panoramic views across Barcelona. Unfortunately, we only discovered after arriving that the restaurant had been closed for some time.
We were told by a member of staff at the pool that it had apparently been closed for around six months due to repairs. There was no mention of this on the Hotels.com listing, we weren't informed at check-in, and there was no obvious signage in the hotel. Had we known beforehand, we would not have booked this hotel.
This meant we had to go elsewhere for dinner, resulting in additional food and taxi costs.
There were also several other issues which, collectively, didn't feel reflective of a 5-star experience:
• No staff actively available to take drinks orders around the pool
• No towels provided at the sun-lounging pool area
• The cushioned sun loungers had an unpleasant sweat/odour
• The lift system was very confusing, particularly when trying to access the gym. On one occasion it took around 20 minutes due to having to change lifts.
It's disappointing because the hotel itself has the potential to be a great property, but the experience didn't match the 5-star standard we were expecting or what was presented when we booked.
I'd strongly recommend checking directly with the hotel before booking to confirm that the restaurant is actually open

Such a beautiful hotel, the staff were professional and helpful as well as being friendly. The food was very good. Fantastic showers in the rooms.

This was our first time visiting Spain. I would recommend staying here if you can afford it. Though there might be a little distance between you and the major downtown area, I highly recommend it because it’s quiet and just the perfect amount of relaxation one might expect from a hotel brand name like this.
