A particularly beautiful Parador from the 16th. century
We "collect" Paradores and have already been to various locations. Here in Trujillo, we enjoyed it especially well again! The room was very large and beautifully designed. The mattresses let us sleep wonderfully and the entire ambiance is very nice. We ate excellently in the restaurant, which was also due to the competence of our friendly waiter, Javier. The Parador is highly recommended all around!

Parador de Trujillo
Charming building, located in an old convent. The staff is very friendly and makes the stay very pleasant. The rooms, however, would need a renovation to give them a new look.

It can be a good option
Excellent location and a magnificent building, although it lacks a bit of luxury in some details. The rooms are very nice, although the bathrooms have a somewhat outdated style. In any case, it remains a good choice.
However, I have two important observations. First of all, the staff does not seem to be very attentive to the customers; for example, upon our arrival, they were more focused on watching the World Cup than on welcoming the guests. Additionally, smiles and kindness from the team are noticeably lacking.
Secondly, having to reserve a time for breakfast, with shifts every 30 minutes, reminds one, at best, of a children's summer camp and, at worst, of the more restrictive times of the pandemic.
I believe the hotel should make a significant effort to improve these two aspects.
However, I have two important observations. First of all, the staff does not seem to be very attentive to the customers; for example, upon our arrival, they were more focused on watching the World Cup than on welcoming the guests. Additionally, smiles and kindness from the team are noticeably lacking.
