A welcome return visit to this lovely little site

Having shivered in our tent on the coast for two nights, we moved inland and back to this site- last visited two years ago.
It’s a real delight to be back.
The site is small, but the pitches a good size. As it’s June the visitors are middle aged in general and no children- but as there is no pool (sadly) here, I guess it’s not as great for families.
The amenities are good, including showers, washing and washing machine facilities and a games’ room.
The bar is welcoming- with a highlight being the local cuisine served. We enjoyed a 1/4 lamb, slow cooked with garlic, served with chips and salad, for dinner last night and it was delicious.
The site is at the end of the village, with stunning views up to the ruined castle on top of the hill (well worth a walk in the morning before it’s too hot: the views from there are fantastic).
The young man in charge speaks excellent English and is welcoming and friendly.

Hidden gem

we stayed here in may 2018 and everything was great ,we booked to stay in the house as a group and it had everything that you would want ,very friendly and great food ,would stay here again ,if you are offered the lamb for dinner say YES

Camino

Arrived here to find our luggage but no reservation. Had booked with Amoma and had a prepaid voucher. The receptionist was very helpful and said his had happened before with Amoma. They had booked and paid for another hotel beyond Burgos. Luckily they had a room so we checked in. Amoma did refund the money but it could have been bad if there had been no accommodation. My advice is don't use them.
Hotel OK had to share a bathroom.
Staff very good.

Great camping and family friendly site

Lovely location friendly and good family run site. staff nice atmosphere and the food served in the restaurant was excellent.good WiFi .The perfect stop enroute to any destination or for bird watching, hiking, chilling.we were camping and facilities were clean and good pitches.Nothing too much trouble all good.Will definitely come here again.

Birds and quiet

Great campsite . My favorite of the ones we visited in Northern Spain and Portugal . Staff is friendly , showers and toilets are clean . We went birdwatching with the owner which was great. Saw great bustards and bee eaters. Would definitely stay here again . Even the call of the scops owl at night is charming
