Nice 2* hotel

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in a large room overlooking the garden. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a bit outside San Sebastián which we found nice, because it was more quiet and nice to come “home” to after a day in the city. Easy to reach the town by bus or taxi. The restaurant was not open in April but we could get a croissant and coffee in the morning, fine with us because we preferred to go into town for breakfast. Friendly staff and good value for money.

Hotel on the hill

Be aware that even the sat nav has problems finding this hotel. The short walk into San sebastion takes an hour down hill we got the bus back but the only way from the bus stop is again up hill and a dark country lane so you need a torch. The hotel room is basic but ok. When we got back at 10.30 after our uphill treck from bus stop we asked if bar was open for a drink to be told it opens for breakfast in the morning. This hotel is not worth 123 euros a night

Simple hotel but located in a nice suburb of San Sebastian

Nicol´s Hotel is certainly not an Hotel to stay several nights. However, it is a good option when you are passing by and want some rest.
Rooms were simple but clean and large. Staff was gentle and helpful. Nevertheless, we were happy about the location. Located up-hill in the skirts of San Sebastian, we enjoy its peaceful and very green surroundings.
Once you drive down to the city, you will enjoy very beautiful views to the sea. Important, you need really a car to reach the hotel;

Excellent two star hotel

Large, clean and comfortable (except pillow) room.
Decor not our style but so what!
Staff super friendly and helpful, with good language skills to compensate for my pathetic Spanish.
Plenty of parking. Nice view.
Excellent coffee and good croissant for 3 euros to get us going.
Local restaurant is the real deal: Quality, simple, local food. Not a tourist restaurant but welcoming.
Ten to 15 minute drive to downtown but worth it to have tranquility.
What we saved on this very nice hotel went into our splurges in the Michelin starred restaurants of SB!!

Ok for one night

This was a last minute booking due to a problem with the accomodation I had booked for our San Sebastian stay. They kindly let us check in early so that we didn't miss a day of sightseeing. The hotel is a fair way out of town, but has plenty of parking and there is a bus stop into town a short walk away. There is no elevator, but the staff will assist in bringing luggage to rooms if required. The room was quite large and the bathroom ok. The walls are a bit thin and we could hear the plumbing from the next room. For the price we paid, I would have expected breakfast to be included.
