Wonderful stay at Ocean Drive Sevilla
My partner and I stayed for 5 nights at the end of August/start of September and had a fantastic experience. I’d read that some rooms could be a little small, so I booked a top-floor suite and was lucky enough to find a deal through the hotel’s website that included complimentary breakfast. The upgrade was absolutely worth it.
The suite was spacious and finished to a high standard, with a good-sized living area, sofa bed and patio doors opening onto one section of the balcony with a table, four comfy chairs and parasol. The bedroom was slightly cosier around the (very comfy) superking bed, but there was still plenty of space, and it had its own patio doors leading to another balcony section with two sun loungers. The outdoor shower was a godsend when we chose to sunbathe and temperatures hit 38°C! The air conditioning was also excellent.
The shower cubicle was huge with both a rainfall and handheld shower, and a separate toilet. One thing to note is that the shower has a clear glass door visible from the bedroom, so perhaps not ideal if you’re travelling with someone you’d rather not see you in the buff!
The location is excellent - central to the shopping areas and within easy walking distance of the main sights. The view directly over Las Setas and La Plaza de la Encarnación was a real highlight. You get beautiful sunset colours and the Las Setas light show, plus plenty of people-watching opportunities.
Being in such a central, lively plaza does mean some evening noise, particularly from crowds watching street performers. We didn’t mind it at all and actually enjoyed the atmosphere, plus we usually missed it as we adapted to the siesta and late evening lifestyle! If you’re an early sleeper, earplugs might be worthwhile. There’s also some visibility from the Las Setas walkway, so remember to close the blinds if you want complete privacy. The only niggle my partner had was that the only separation between our balcony and that of the next suite were 3 plants. We didn’t actually encounter any neighbours but privacy could be easily improved by adding a dividing panel.
The room included a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, safe, mini bar (chargeable) and complimentary bottled water replenished daily. They also provided robes and slippers which were handy to pop on after a shower.
Breakfast was a good continental buffet with fruit, yoghurt, pastries, meats and cheeses, plus cooked-to-order eggs and omelettes.
We mostly left the “Do Not Disturb” sign up, as we didn’t need daily cleaning or fresh towels, but housekeeping were still thoughtful enough to check in when they saw us returning with snacks to make sure we had everything we needed.
All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Carlos was lovely at check-in, and a special mention to Pablo, who looked after breakfast each morning and was incredibly attentive and professional. The lady who helped arrange our airport taxi was also wonderful, although sadly I didn’t catch her name!
Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ocean Drive Sevilla and would happily stay again. I’d also be very tempted to try their hotels in other cities in the future.

Great location and hotel
Really great hotel that is right beside Las Setas. Really easy to get around from there. The atmosphere is cosy and familial, breakfast in the morning was tasty and the people working in the mornings were happy to grab extra hot drinks and more food. The rooms were quite small (we struggled to find somewhere to store our suitcase) but were perfectly fit for purpose. A word for those travelling with friends though - the glass shower is in the room, not in a separate shower room. Something to think about.

Ocean Drive Hotel Seville
We can thoroughly recommend Ocean Drive Sevilla.
If you are still considering your transfer options, we opted to take a taxi from the airport to the Ocean Drive Hotel; it worked very well and cost us under 30 euros for the 20-25-minute trip. The hotel booked the return for us, and it worked equally well. The price was a bit more, but we think we were travelling during the rush hour. We’d read that prices can bounce about between 25 - 40 euros, depending on certain conditions; I think it was about 32 euros.
We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived at Ocean Drive. We were a couple of hours early, and the staff cheerfully secured our cases while our room was finished up, leaving us free to roam and get our bearings. Carlos phoned us a short time later to say our room was ready, comfortably ahead of schedule.
The location is perfect - right on Plaza de la Encarnación, just steps from Las Setas and within easy walking distance of the Cathedral (10 minutes), Alcázar (10 minutes) and all the main sights. The Plaza de España was the furthest we walked, and that is about 30 minutes out. The Plaza de la Encarnación, where the hotel is located, and surrounding areas are 90% pedestrianised. There is some passing traffic, the occasional delivery truck, taxi or resident accessing their garage, but we can’t imagine having a hire car as being anything but a nuisance.
We got all the convenience of being right in the centre of Seville, but inside the hotel all is calm, cool and relaxed.
The hotel appears to be quite new - nicely designed, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. Our room was modern, comfortable, quiet (especially so considering the location right on the plaza), and very well presented. Beds are good (you get to a certain age and you yearn for your own; that’s entirely subjective though). The shower deserves a separate mention. The overhead rainfall shower performs perfectly normally; the handheld attachment is, however, a very powerful weapon. We loved it, just be careful where you’re aiming it! The whole place has a lovely atmosphere. There is a nicely appointed bar and coffee shop downstairs, just opposite reception. But we never used it, having the whole of Seville right on the doorstep.
The staff were very, very friendly, genuinely helpful, and ever so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble - restaurant recommendations, directions, taxis, (and a kettle!) they handled everything with a smile. That level of service was excellent. We’ll make special mentions for Carlos, Adrian, and Maria; all of the staff were lovely, but we spent the most time with these three, and they were consistently brilliant with all of the above.
We had a properly memorable stay and, if we ever return to Seville, this hotel would be our choice. We found it to be stylish but comfortably so, perfectly located, and a very well-run hotel.

Great location even better customer service!
I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Ocean Drive. The location, atmosphere, and hospitality were wonderful, but what really stood out was the incredible kindness and dedication of the staff.
A huge thank-you to Vicky and Maria, who went above and beyond to help me track down my lost cell phone. They were incredibly helpful, patient, and determined to make sure it was found and returned to me. Their genuine care turned what could have been a very stressful situation into an experience that reminded me just how exceptional hospitality can be.

Great location with a few drawbacks
Brilliant location, the hotel couldn’t be more central. I’d definitely recommend spending a little extra on a room with a balcony overlooking the centre. The square really comes alive at night!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both the hotel and room were modern and clean. Housekeeping was also very attentive.
There are a few negatives to be aware of. While the central location is a huge plus, if you have a room overlooking the square, it can be quite noisy at night, with street entertainment continuing until after 11pm. The bed also wasn’t particularly comfortable, as the mattress was very hard so we didn’t sleep too well unfortunately.
The shower/bathroom design was quite odd and offered very little privacy, which may not suit everyone. I also think the hotel would really benefit from having a small gym and a rooftop terrace.
On the plus side, the hotel bar was surprisingly reasonably priced for a hotel, and the surrounding bars in the square were also very affordable. I didn’t have breakfast, so unfortunately I can’t comment on that, but there is a brunch spot opposite called ‘Brunchit’ which I highly recommend.
Overall, a lovely, modern hotel in an unbeatable location, with just a few things that could be improved
