Way more than 3 stars

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem . I have no clue how this was listed as a 3 star , but it’s definitely above that. It is very close to the Camino De Santiago, Ourense route, and provides a nice mix of beautiful ,ample accommodations.
The visit was right at the start of grape harvest but we still were able to see all the grapes surrounding us.
The hotel has no elevator but our luggage was taken up by Antonio , an older man that did almost everything for us and the hotel. He stated that most workers were helping at the harvest .
The room was beautiful , large, comfortable with all necessities , and with views to the harvest grounds. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and they were divine , their house wine Albariño was the perfect companion to our arrival appetizer plate and dinner and is aptly named Pazo de Galegos .
Some might argue that Antonio runs on a tight schedule , but it’s clear that the respect and love for this historical property guides him. He shared his knowledge about the property with the guests , making us feel honored to stay there . And indeed we were.

Exceptional

What an amazing place. We didn't want to stay in the middle of Satiago, so picked this gem of a vineyard hotel a few miles outside the city. The hotel is full of history and the owner will give you a wonderful story of its history and the vineyard. The rooms are very comfortable and completely in keeping with the age of the building. The lounge area is beautifully appointed and great for a pre dinner drink.
We are there twice and on both occasions the food was wonderful. However you must try their wines - the Albarinos were amazing. Luckily we had our car so were able to bring some home.

Some unfriendly staff hotel old and nice

Stayed here one night and checked in the young guy not so helpful and not interested another man was helpful and showed us the way from the Camino in the morning the room clean and bathroom nice they do have restaurant but did not eat nothing special a stop on the Camino and would stay here but the people not as friendly as I would expect

Nice host - old fashioned

I want to start by saying that the host was really kind and welcoming, I forget his name but he really was nice and he was so knowledgeable about the area and the hotel.
The reason I give it three stars is that I found the rooms to be really quite old fashioned and the beds weren't very comfy. Of course the decor goes with hotel but it just wasn't 100% my taste.
The rooms were really clean and half of our group ate in the restaurant and said it was delicious.
There is a small town nearby and the airport isn't too far from here.
The hotel also has a vineyard and a guided tour and although we didn't go on this tour, I have had great things about it.
Overall, it's a nice hotel but just a little old fashioned for me.

The best surprise in El camino De Santiago

We were in Paso de Galegos as part of our Camino de Santiago last September. We were hiking el Camino de la Plata from Ourense to Santiago de Compostela. We spent one night in Pazo de Galegos. What a great surprice to find this place. Very nice room, great food, good service and the best wine. This is place we would love to go back sometime and we would recommend to anyone passing by Vedra or going to Santiago de Compostela.
