A truly exclusive stay overlooking Gregory Lake
We stayed at W15 Gregory Lake for 5 nights as a family of 4, and it was the highlight of our trip to Nuwara Eliya. The property sits on a green plot, slightly elevated, with beautiful views over the lake. It's a peaceful spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
With only 6 rooms in the entire house, the atmosphere feels intimate and genuinely exclusive rather than like a typical hotel. Our rooms were beautifully furnished and very spacious, with a cosy, warm ambience throughout the property.
The service truly sets this place apart. A butler service was available via WhatsApp for any request, questions, orders, anything we needed and the team went above and beyond every time. A huge thank you to Kethees, Lakishan, Soyza and Krishnakumari. You made our whole stay feel effortless and pampered.
Breakfast was à la carte, and we chose our selections the evening before. Every dish was beautifully prepared and always generous in portions. Such a lovely way to start the day.
We also had dinner at the property several times during our stay, and it was consistently excellent. The local rice and curries in particular was outstandingly delicious, full of flavour and clearly made with care. It's a meal we still think back on fondly.
The indoor pool was another highlight, perfect for a relaxing swim regardless of the weather outside.
Overall, we experienced warm hospitality, great attention to detail, and a level of service that made us feel truly looked after. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special, exclusive stay by Gregory Lake.

A Cozy, Intimate Escape with Exceptional Personalized Hospitality
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at W15 Lake Gregory. What a beautiful little boutique hotel! With only six rooms, it has an intimate, homely atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. The indoor swimming pool was a lovely addition and made our stay even more enjoyable.
The weather in Nuwara Eliya was wonderfully cool during our visit, around 17–19°C during the day and 12–13°C at night. The occasional thunderstorms and showers added to the charm, creating the perfect atmosphere for quiet, cozy evenings in front of the fireplaces.
What truly stood out for us was the highly personalized and genuinely thoughtful service. From the moment we arrived, throughout our time at the hotel, and even in the way meals were planned and arranged in advance, everything felt carefully considered and tailored to us. It is this level of personal attention that makes W15 Lake Gregory feel quite unique.
The hotel is in a wonderful location overlooking Lake Gregory and is highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing escape. We also appreciated the attention to quality throughout the hotel, from the fresh ingredients sourced from their garden whenever possible to the excellent in-room tea and coffee and the quality toiletries provided in the bathrooms.
We would definitely return to W15 Lake Gregory on our next trip to Sri Lanka. It is a special place for a quiet, intimate, and cozy getaway.

Gorgeous place!
We had an excellent experience. The rooms were spotless, very well maintained. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Lake view in the morning is amazing. Very quiet atmosphere to chill, excellent get away from busy life. Rooms are equipped with all amenities and nothing to complain. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. I would definitely recommend!
