Husbands 40th birthday celebration
All I can say is wow! We stayed over and did the 5 course gourmet dinner menu with the wine pairing. From start to finish, the whole experience was amazing. The rooms were beautiful, the staff were lovely and the food and wine were exceptional. We even got to have a tour of the kitchen part-way through our dinner (after us chatting with the waitress and her asking if we’d like to see it) my husband was delighted!
Would 100% recommend.

3 day away experience in the Ribble Valley
My wife and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at Northcote. We much enjoyed the relaxing welcome and the food was out of this world.

Unforgettable
This was an amazing experience. The staff can not do enough for you. The food was amazing. The hotel was amazing. I would totally recommend this wonderfulplace. Great experience.

OUTSTANDING! Made to feel super special!
OUTSTANDING!!! wow that a fantastic place! Everything from start to finish was just perfect, our room was just gorgeous, the service right from the moment we checked in was second to none, all the staff are super knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about what they do. The 5 course taster menu was just incredible, and breakfast was first class too! Joy was superb and the kitchen tour by Commis Chef Chester made the evening really special .. we have already booked a return visit! Well done Team Northcote - you have 100% got it right!!!

Perfect Luxury
We stayed for our mini-moon on a 2 night gourmet escape including their tasting menu (veggie and meat).
The location is a little idle in the Ribble valley, and on a summer's day on the terrace with a drink, it just calm tranquillity. In all aspects, Northcote is relaxing, calm un-pretentious (well it's Michelin stared so some pretentiousness is mandatory) luxury. The buildings, décor and layout are uncluttered and elegant. At check-in at 3 p.m. was the first time in weeks we'd be able to relax as the entire place exuded calm confidence.
We were upgraded and our hotel room was just gorgeous: spacious, well appointed, massive bathroom and our own balcony to watch the sunset and drink whisky on - just perfect. We would be thrilled to return for a bit more luxury.
The staff are available, attentive, very competent and have a warm welcoming approach that is just perfect as an example of Northern hospitality. I cannot fault them at all.
Now, the food: I was here 7 years ago for my first Michelin meal, and honestly, I think it's improved somehow. I'm somewhat bias as the Summer Tasting menu is everything I'd want (strawberries, lobster etc), but every dish was just perfect. My partner had the vegetarian tasting menu, and I was jealous of not getting his courgette dish if I'm honest. The stand out for me was the Isle of White Tomatoes - it was refreshing, bursting with flavour and just divine. We also had their soufle - it was excellent light as you want and bursting with flavour. Lastly, and by no means least, do have the cheese course - I'd never normally bother as a slither of cheese is hardly a course, but not here - proper portion of cheese, plenty crackers and the selection and service (cheese cart) was just perfect. We shared 1 between 2 and that's the right approach.
The price point is fine for the quality of the place, but I see they do a very reasonably priced lunch menu if you want a special treat. If I lived closer, I'd certainly be here for birthday lunch.
