We checked in and got upgraded to the suite absolutely beautiful.
Staff our amazing and go out of there way to help .
Food was so good definitely be returning thank you for a great stay

Great stay at The Lawrence

Beautiful boutique hotel with lovely beddings , towels and toiletries.
Food was good with good choices
The staff were excellent with good manner and smile
We were given the Blue room to use for breakfast and dinner as well as card games

Our wedding was amazing!

We honestly cannot thank the team at the hotel enough for making our wedding absolutely perfect.
From start to finish, we couldn’t have asked for a more incredible venue or a more wonderful team of people.
We planned our wedding in just three months, and from the very beginning, nothing ever felt too much trouble. Every question, request and little detail was met with kindness and understanding, and we never once felt like we were asking too much. They made the whole process feel so easy and stress free, which meant the world to us when planning such an important day in such a short space of time.
A special mention has to go to Olivia, who was absolutely amazing. She was so lovely, welcoming and genuinely cared about our wedding and making sure everything was perfect for us. You could tell that it wasn’t just a job to her, she truly wanted us to have the best day possible. She was also absolutely amazing with the children, which meant so much to us. Inviting them along for the rehearsal was such a thoughtful touch, and it made them feel so involved and excited for the day. It was something we will always remember.
The hotel itself was just beautiful. Throughout the day, so many of our guests commented on how lovely the hotel was and how welcoming everyone had been. Every member of staff we came across was friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone played a part in making our wedding day feel so special.
The rooms were perfect, the setting was perfect, the atmosphere was perfect, honestly, the whole day was everything we could have wished for and more.
And then there was the morning after… Donna introduced herself to us at breakfast, and we were absolutely blown away. We genuinely weren’t expecting the breakfast room to have been dressed for us, and it was such a beautiful surprise. After such an amazing day, being able to sit down together with our family and friends in such a lovely setting was the perfect way to finish our wedding celebrations. The breakfast itself was amazing, and the thought and effort that had clearly gone into everything meant so much to us.
Looking back, we genuinely wouldn’t change a thing. You gave us the most incredible wedding day and, more importantly, memories that we will carry with us forever. We will always be grateful for the kindness, care and effort that every single member of the team put into making our day so special.
To Olivia, Donna and the whole team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You helped create a day that we will never forget, and we feel so lucky that we chose your hotel to celebrate such an important moment in our lives.
This definitely won’t be our last visit. We will absolutely be back to celebrate our anniversaries, and you can definitely expect to see us for Sunday lunch too!
Thank you for giving us memories that will last a lifetime. Our wedding was perfect, and so much of that is because of all of you. We couldn’t recommend you highly enough. ❤️

Mini break

Great friendly staff, lovely room. Nice hotel.
Breakfast needs a little more thought. Food excellent but no chance to have cereal etc as food brought to table immediately. 4 butters and jam, but only 1 small piece of toast laid on top of cooked breakfast. Use toast racks and bring toast separately. Just small thing but would make all the difference.
No gluten free options for cold breakfast eg cereal or pastries.

Really nice little break

We have just enjoyed a 2 night Travelzoo deal here & can't fault the staff or the premises. It is well presented & attractively decorated. We found our room & bed very comfortable & a very good shower & nice toiletries in the ensuite. Included in the deal were 2 full breakfasts & one 2course dinner & we ate in both evenings. The food & service were tasty & friendly. Managed to get a parking space in the rear. Would recommend
