A weekend in Edinburgh for the Rugby

What a great place to stay. The owners, Catherine and Stuart made us feel so very welcome and throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble for them - they were genuinely concerned to make sure that we had a great stay. Breakfast was a feast and the rooms were really well equipped, spacious, comfortable and quiet. I’d recommend the Glendevon to anybody and won’t hesitate to come back.

Midweek Break

Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay with Catherine and Stuart.
Excellent facilities, warm and friendly welcome and only 15 minute walk to the end of Princes Street.
Breakfasts were fantastic and really set us up for busy days around town.
Parking was available on the street, very quiet area but yet so close the the city centre.
Can’t rate our stay highly enough and will be sure to be back on our next trip to Edinburgh.

Just what your looking for!

Just back from a lovely weekend away, the house was impecable and both the hosts and there charming dogs were welcoming and friendly, ten minute walk from the centre, peaceful nights sleep, Great value for money! definitely recommend it

Excellent B&B!

We were so happy that our B&B was in a quiet residential area about 25 min walk into the centre. There was a local bus that was convenient. The hosts were lovely and very gracious. It was wonderful to have conversations with them about the area and many topics. The rooms were lovely, large and comfortable. Unfortunately the bathroom was outside the room but plush robes were provided. The breakfasts were excellent. We would have appreciated having the use of a fridge for some food supplies. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Glendevon. Note that payment is cash only.

Home away from home

All the previous good reviews are right, had a fantastic visit to Edinburgh made even more special by the lovely stay at this family run B&B. Owners Catherine and Stuart are so welcoming, friendly and helpful in every way and their 2 little dogs Honey and Bonnie a pleasure to play fetch with up and down the stairs. The en suite bedroom was comfortable and spotless. Tea/coffee making facilities and tea cakes replaced every day were very nice touches. Good selection of cooked breakfast, toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice, teas and french press coffee served every morning. Approximately 20 min walk to centre or a short bus ride on number 11. Good location for shops and restaurants. Would definately stay here again when next back in Edinburgh. Big thank you again to Catherine and Stuart.
