A great place to stay, plenty of places to park. Very helpful staff. The room has spacious and modern with a comfy bed and a good shower.

Not a peaceful stay

Room was very comfortable but there was a Veterans Ball in the function room directly below my room and it was unacceptably noisy

The Perfect Wedding Weekend at "The Ash" – Exceptional Service and Food!

We recently held our wedding at the Ashburnham Hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a professional, high-quality venue in Wales. We hired the entire hotel for exclusive use, which gave our celebration a wonderful, private feel. It was so comfortable and secure that it felt like a home away from home—we felt so safe that we didn't even feel the need to lock our doors!
The Team:
A massive thank you to Stacey, the wedding coordinator. She is an absolute professional and ensured the entire day ran like clockwork. The bar staff were also fantastic—very knowledgeable, polite, and handled our guests brilliantly. We also noticed the hard work of the cleaning staff; the hotel was spotless throughout our stay.
The Rooms:
We were so impressed with the accommodation. About 90% of the rooms have been refurbished and they look amazing. They are modern, fresh, and very comfortable. It’s clear the hotel is investing heavily in the property.
Food & Drink:
While our wedding package covered most meals, we did pay for a separate lunch which wasn't exactly budget-friendly. However, once we actually tasted the food, we completely understood the price. The quality, flavor, and presentation were top-tier and worth every penny. The breakfast the next morning was also a highlight—a brilliant all-you-can-eat buffet with everything you could think of (sausages, eggs, toast, cereals, etc.). It was the perfect way to finish the weekend.
Location & Activities:
The location is ideal. It’s right next to the Ashburnham Golf Club and only minutes away from Pembrey Country Park, Burry Port Harbour, and the stunning Kidwelly Castle. Our guests loved having so much to do nearby.
If you are looking for a venue that delivers on every level, from the rooms to the service, look no further than the Ashburnham.

Basic and overpriced

Visited for a birthday meal with family. Ate in the bar, which had a nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly Eve. Good choice on menu, however some were disappointed with the basicness of the meals when they arrived. One had ordered a burger and chips, and another chicken and chips, and that's all that came on the plate. No garnish, peas or coleslaw or anything like that. I did however enjoy my own chicken tikka burger that was lovely. It was one of the most expensive meals we have had locally as a family, but the quality didn't reflect the price.
