Judges Lodging is a small, elegant Grade I listed Georgian townhouse that overlooks York Minster. It boasts 2 bars and rooms with free Wi-Fi. Judges Lodging has luxurious bedrooms with an LCD Freeview TV and toiletries.

Over the first two weeks of July, my family and I made frequent visits to The Judge's Lodging in York for both breakfast and lunch, and every single experience was exceptional. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—steeped in history, incredibly well-maintained, and always a very clean environment to dine in. The made-to-order breakfasts are simply perfect, highlighting beautifully fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I am also a massive fan of their Sunday roasts and cannot recommend them highly enough. Though I usually opt for the roast beef, I decided to switch things up this time and tried the roast chicken—it was absolutely delicious and flawlessly prepared. A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Ellie, Ben, Jordyn, Jackalyn, Agga, and Anya. They are always incredibly welcoming, attentive, and consistently make every single visit feel perfect. We are already counting down the days until our return trips this December!

This place is amazing. Bang slap in the city centre. We travel frequently to York to see family and will fron now on only book here. The breakfast is to die for.

Do not eat or drink here
Five of us came to dine. We waited 40 mins for our drinks order. Repeated requests for cutlery and condiments were ignored, yet the food had arrived. The order for main courses was wrongly delivered. The ‘manager’ was arrogant and dismissive when we tried address these issues. He was ignorant and would not negotiate any issue regarding our complaints; and threatened violence from the bouncers. Do not eat or drink here!

Judgement on the Judges Lodging
This is a great museum. Loved the audio and the relaxed hands on nature of the house. Friendly and helpful staff and bonus pop up Welsh Tearoom. If you are nearby - go! Presteigne also a nice town.
