BEST RESTAURANT in Trogir… and elsewhere EVER!
Everything about Franka left me speechless: the service, the kindness, the professionalism and the exquisite food. Sadly, I did not stayed at the hotel, I only get to have dinner two nights in a row (something I usually go not do) in their beloved little restaurant, nested in a cozy patio, surrounded by stoned walls, vases full of pink hortensia flowers, cushions in a stair and soft light.
Starting by the kindness of Lucca, the host for my first night, the food suggestions by Yure, my superstar waiter (apologies for any misspelling) during those two nights, and the niceness of the lady host of the second night (I forgot her name, I am sorry)…., the only better thing after all that was the glorious food the came out of the kitchen, two nights in a row.
Yellowtail tartare, black risotto cooked to perfection, tuna tartare, octopus, the desserts… all the dishes deserved time to enjoy leisurely and to appreciate the expertise of the chef, who I did not have the opportunity to meet.
I would definitely come back when in Trogir again. Please keep doing the outstanding job you all do. Highly highly recommended.

Charming restaurant with heart, taste and potential
We visited this charming little restaurant in early October. Had booked a table in advance, but it didn’t really turn out to be needed – maybe because it wasn’t high season. A lot of people who passed by stopped by and sat down anyway, and I understand why. The atmosphere was both relaxed and elegant, and we chose to sit outside because the weather still allowed it.
The waiter was quick and attentive, and we ordered both starter and main course. Zucchini Carpaccion as a starter was magnificent – perhaps a little too salty, but otherwise perfectly in both texture and taste.
The risotto was good according to my friend. My Adriatic Octopus was soft and perfectly cooked, and together with the yogurt sauce it became a really nice flavor combination. In addition to that, you could probably have removed the poached egg (which according to me was not poached) as it did not really add anything in taste. I would also have liked a little more acidity and maybe some textured accompaniment – for example crispy peas, beans or why not some sweet potato fries for contrast and playfulness.
The flavors are generally above average, but with slight adjustments in the balance of sweet, sour and salty, the dishes could lift further. Of course, when a restaurant is mentioned in the Guide Michelin, certain expectations are raised, and even if everything did not quite reach that level this time, there is clear potential and a lot of heart.
A restaurant with charm, consideration and tasteful ambition – definitely worth a visit!

Best in Trogir
We've been here 2 nights. First evening we took the fish dish for 2 people: sublime! The 2nd evening scallops and tuna tartare. Then octopus and tuna again. Excellent. Take the extremely professional and friendly service and you are good. Also top is the wine knowledge available! Definitely do!!!

Great food; even better experience
We had dinner outside at Franka with friends (4 couples total). The food was fantastic, and the service was even better. Josipa went above and beyond to make sure our group had a special evening. She was attentive, friendly, helpful, and professional. We even got to learn a few Croatian words while we there.
We would highly recommend Franka, and we would definitely recommend you ask to have Josipa serve you while you are there.
