Be careful, very dirty

Very bad experience. Very dirty room and broken things everywhere. Dirty bathroom with dead mosquitoes on the walls.. generally an unacceptable situation. The breakfast with third-rate ingredients... unfortunately nothing good besides smiling employees.

Dirt, moisture, mold and bearded animals

As part of my holiday in the Chania area I took a trip to Rethymnon with a stay at Brascos. I was first surprised at the high tourist tax they demanded, which was 2.5 times higher
than that in the other hotel. I knew immediately when I locked myself into the room on the second floor that here was mold, tried hidden with perfume. In the wardrobe I could pick up parts of the roof off, and uncovered as expected. Then I had spent a quarter in the heat washing fat and thick layers with dirt of door handles and switches. In addition, the inspection lock of the ventilation system was so full of moisture damage that it could not be closed. I went and complained, they made up but sent me to first one room, which was no better than the first, then another room that I only approved to avoid taking the first and best bus back again, but where I could close the door to the hallway with - here too - a hole distorted by moisture. When I switched on the air conditioner, the mould blow hit me. So there was no pleasant night, and from 4 o’clock I just sat and waited with the porch door open for breakfast, so I could get a cup of coffee and get out of there.
With a sign with HEALT FIRST on the front desk, I didn’t know if I should laugh or cry. Tragisk.

Underwhelming experience

Hotel rooms not as depicted on website. This hotel needs a full refurbishment. Bathroom is small and easily flooded when you shower. Bedroom needs a good clean - very dusty around edges of room. Rooms facing main road are noisy due traffic. Staff not very engaging. Breakfast ok. Location good to walk to old town. Overall disappointing.

Suggest to avoid

Been to Crete now 4 times and this has been the worst hotel so far. Never been to a hotel that looks good from outside but is a shed from the inside. Worst was the bathroom. Beds squeek so hard that they wake you up when changing sleeping positions. Breakfast was fine
