Great Stay at Aparthotel Pergamin

The Aparthotel Pergamin is in a great Central location, close the the old market square. We also walked to Shindlers Factory, the castle and river cruise from the aparthotel. The old market square is amazing, very atmospheric. Great food, lots of choices of places to eat and drink plus plenty of horse and carriage rides to choose from if you wanted something different.
Our room was very clean with a fridge and hairdryer. There was a safe but it had been locked open, we left it as took our passports etc out with us. The room had a balcony which was covered over with chicken wire to keep the birds off. In your room there is also a coffee machine, kettle and some tea and coffee. There is no milk but there is a convenience shop next door which is open early until late. You also get a bath towel each and three toilet rolls. Your room is not cleaned during your stay, which wasn't a problem for us. We also packed an extra toilet roll just in case after reading previous reviews. There is a lift to all floors, including the basement where breakfast is served. The breakfast was simple, plentiful and delicious. There was fresh fruit, yogurts, ham, cheeses, tomato, cucumber, fresh bread, butter, different flavoured jams, bacon, fried and scrambled eggs, mushrooms and polish sausages every morning. If anything ran out there was a great young man who would replenish supplies straight away. There was also a hot drinks machine, lots of types of tea choices, cold drinking water, fresh fruit juices and biscuits. There was also chocolate croissants available at one breakfast serving.
There is no reception and you should receive a WhatsApp message with a code for the front door to the building plus another code for the locker box inside in the building to obtain your room key. We hadn't received these codes on our arrival at midnight. There is a plaque to the left of the front door with a contact number. I got through straight away and was sent the codes within seconds. I also sent a whatsapp message to ask if we could store our luggage on the last day. I received a quick reply with how to do that. The aparthotel has a free of charge to use luggage room. We were impressed with the accommodation. We stayed in room 9, had no problems with any noise issues. The only improvement suggestion ww could make is that the bathroom sink is very small and some extra shelves in the bathroom for toiletries would be really useful. A great place to stay that's good value for money if you have and can use Whatsapp.
There is also a great pub nearby called The Pub Starry Pies. Would highly recommend visiting for a drink. They also sell food which looked lovely, but we did not eat there.

Do not book if a family of 4

Do not book this hotel if you are going as a family (more than 2 people). We have just got back from a 4 night stay, with 8 of us in total, a room for 3, a room for 1 and a room for 4. The room for 1 was fine and had a balcony and Aircon. The room for 3 was quite cramped arriving without the 3rd bed (sofa) been made up. The room for 4 was extremely small (double bed and ONE sofa) which hadn't been made up, we had to fit 2 almost teens on a tiny sofa. The room was so small it was boiling hot with 4 people in so we had the Aircon on- which upon arriving back to the room after an evening out had leaked all over the sofa bed, had to contact someone via WhatsApp and ended up moving room in the middle of the night and again having to make our own beds up- we got moved to a bigger room, unfortunately it was very noisy from traffic and the Aircon didn't work, nobody slept from the heat and stress which wasn't ideal having to be up early for a trip which we did state to the people on WhatsApp, then all day they messaged asking for the original room key but we where out all day. Very disappointed in this hotel and feel like the whole experience would have been better if we had listened to the reviews! I'm sure it's fine if you're a single person or a couple but I feel the owners really shouldn't be allowing bookings for families without stating what is available for sleeping arrangements (we where expecting basic fold out beds nothing fancy) a sofa for 2 teenagers is unacceptable.

Great accommodation in amazing location

We've recently come back from a weekend in Kraków and had a great stay here. Self check in, brilliant location and nice spacious rooms. We booked the quadruple rooms which were a nice size in a beautiful old building. You can book breakfast which is served in the lower ground floor or there are lots of cafes close by. Theres a supermarket next door and its just a few minutes walk to the main square. We'll definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel in Krakow

Fantastic hotel. The hotel does not have a reception but you receive your code for the front door and code to get your room key on the day of arrival by whats app and e mail. Also your room number. My codes arrived by 11am so we could of actually gone in around that time. We were allocated room one on the first floor, double room. The room was spotless and very big for a budget hotel. Bathroom and shower was fantastic as well. Note room 1 has its own very big balcony totally enclosed by netting in order to keep the birds away. We spent a good few hours on it, they provide an ashtray my wife was buzzing. Breakfast was fantastic scrambled eggs, bacon fried eggs to die for. fruit, toast , sweet treats, cereal , cheese and cold meats etc. I have been to 4 star hotels that are not as good. The young man running breakfast was a superstar his attention to detail and work ethic was amazing, he cares about his job and customers nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has a shop next door open 6am until 11pm, great selection of goods. Turn right out of the front door and 2mins down the road is a 24h shop, note they do not serve alcohol between 12am and 5:30 am. Again turn right out of the front door and its one straight road to the old town main square 5 min walk. We are going back to Krakow next year and will book here again through Jet2.

3 night stay

Great location, close to KRK airport and old town, and our room was clean and comfortable. However the downsides include no room service, for example, our bins weren’t emptied, toilet roll wasn’t restocked for our 3 day stay, and towels weren’t changed, and if you wanted clean towels for example they came at a cost, shown on the price list in your room! Also, the self check in was hard work, especially when we weren’t made aware of this until we arrived at the hotel after a long morning of travelling, thankfully, an English couple showed us how to check in, note - make sure you have watsapp downloaded! I also think the checkout time (10am) is incredibly early, especially if you have a later flight, there is luggage storage thankfully however.
