Onslow B&B

Had a lovely stay at Onslow Bed & Breakfast! Great room clean and tidy, one of the best showers I've had in a B&B and a great breakfast to top it off! No fuss checking in and out all super easy! Great experience! We came over for the foo fighters gig and thought we would have to pay through the roof for a stay but the price was amazingly good value as well!

Avoid it you want a secure, staffed, clean and what you book

My partner booked a double room but was given the smallest single room with single bed he had ever seen. There was no explanation or apology and certainly no mention that they would offer any sort of refund for being given a cheaper room. Check-in was amateurish with guest names being scribbled off from what looked like a piece of scrap paper. CASH ONLY breakfast option, cards not accepted. No staff available at checkout. Front door left open all night?? Not a secure property considering no staff in evidence, even after ringing bell several times. He contacted the property by email the following day explaining that he expected a refund. This received no response so phoned on the Monday and spoke to a man who was aware that he didn't get what he had booked and paid for. When he mentioned a refund he said that the single room cost £60 but as it is advertised on his website at £45, agreed to refund £27. Thinking now that he wasn't trustworthy given other reviewers, booking.com was contacted who then contacted him and were told that a refund of correct amount would be paid that night. It took several phone calls to chase it up before getting refund from booking.com 2 weeks later.
Everything is basic in room, reasonably clean and cash is king-provides no receipts! Horrible very rude argumentative person with no interest in customers except their cash.

Poor

I didn`t actually go as they cancelled my booking on the day i was going to arrive which is both very inconvenient and stressful and i then had to spend an extra £80 on another hotel which was much further than i wanted to travel. So i would not recommend at all.

Room ok-ish, the full Scottish for a tenner was decidedly average, since when did green beans replace black pudding, cheap sausage and bacon, only one slice of toast each, we waited for ages to find the receptionist and get access to our rooms after a long drive

They assigned us the wrong room, they did not manage to change it when we were back, when we asked for a refund they lied telling they told us they changed the room, the customer service blocked me telling me " to grow up" and to "shut the f......up".
... plus they did not respond to Booking.com for what they did so they take no responsibility with their partnership with them.
I hope they will understand they can't run a business like this in this way.
I'm very disappointed.
