The A/c wasn’t working to full capacity. The bathrooms are dated and paying $30 pp for breakfast! Yikes.

Haven't been back to this property for some years, not because there's issue with the property, I forgot about the location and the building. We're in Texas, the 2 other buildings on both sides of the hotel is golden glass, so anytime during sunrise or sunset, though pretty, it's supremely hot. And we forgot about that. We also forgot that the exit is either on ramp to the freeway or the work around is to go around the neighborhood. As much as I like the area, forgot these 2 things.
At any rate, the room is fine. The a/c game is strong. We are right by the light rail, and we hear it, but had no issue it going by even in the early mornings. The hotel is quite active with conventions and large party at night. The place is active, so is the parking lot, thank goodness they have underground parking to avoid heat and crowd, so that's a nice feature. I was bummed that the Top Golf Swing Suite was not operational, that would've been a fun and easy evening hanging out there. As I said, the area has tons of activities, so that helped.
The room itself is fine. The shower head was from 20 years ago, but appreciate the water pressure remained strong. It did dripped, but not so annoying that we can't sleep. The 2nd night after housekeeping came by, we did see a stain on the comforter and had to ask housekeeping to bring up a new one, which they did in decent time, and that is appreciated.

Our overnight stay at the Doubletree was good. Nice facilities, helpful host, we were able to check into our room a little bit early.
I had a hard time sleeping on the marshmallow-like pillows. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were all very fluffy, & I couldn't sleep comfortably. I like a flatter pillow, and I should've brought my own, but I forgot it. We also had a toilet that continued filling / running after about half the time after flushing. A handle jiggle was all that was needed to stop it; would be worth having maintenance take a look.
Overall very nice hotel.

I feel the price point should match the hotel not for name recognition but for how the room and conditions of the hotel this one was under construction which should have been disclosed be sure the cleanliness is excellent it is very important for sanitation for each room be sanitized germ free smell good hygiene so guest avoid illness housekeeping should be checked to ensure they are doing what they supposed to be doing a guest should not see spider webs or dirt no where they should make sure everything is cleaned

Excellent and nice hotel to stay. Convenient. Breakfast was available to buy. Coffee in lobby complementary. I asked if tea was also available, the staff dis bring me some. More hotels need go offer hot water and tea bags if they have coffee.
